Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Check in was confusing. All you had to do was call the campground say you we’re staying with Tentrr. They also emailed me a campground layout, which didn’t help because the tent wasn’t actually on the map. Other than that, exactly as advertised.”
Hey there Alyvia,
Thank you for your feedback! With honest reviews like yours, Tentrr can continue to improve the camping experience for everyone who wants to experience the outdoors. We are very sorry to hear that you had trouble checking in at LaMoine State Park. Since your review, the park now requires campers to stop at their booth to get registered and can offer directions to the site from there.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope you give Tentrr another chance in the future!
Cheers,
The Tentrr Team
“Such an amazing campsite! Spectacular location!
But do yourself a favor…. Ask them if they’ve improved the air mattress noise before committing. Else just be prepared not to sleep much your first night. And I’ve logged hundreds of peaceful nights camping on air mattresses.
But overall a wonderful location. One of my best campsites ever!”
“Perfect location in the State Park. We were right by the water with a great view. The state park was nice and the shower and bathroom facilities were what you would expect. As many have said, the mattresses are noisy, but other then that, a great time. Not a far drive at all from Acadia and a couple small towns.”
“No complaints really! You get exactly what it looks like, a tent with bunk air mattresses with a wood stove inside (for winter) and a place for a campfire outside. My friends and I didn’t explore the state park much, as we used it just as our home base for day trips to Acadia (which is only around 30 min away). It was perfect for this, though. My friends and I really enjoyed cooking dinner over the campfire in the evenings, and there’s firewood for $6/bundle. The park rangers were very friendly and helpful; they made it easy to coordinate our check-in when we were arriving late, and they were always happy to answer our questions. The park has bathroom/shower facilities as well. Don’t forget to bring sheets/pillows/blankets for the beds! Perfect for a home base during a visit to Acadia.”
“We enjoyed the beautiful and secluded campsite with the canvas tent “cabin”. Great view, lots of space around the site, close to the playground and sand volleyball court. Not close to a bathroom, but we didn’t mind the walk, or just drove over. (Pit toilets were slightly closer than the bath house). The bunk bed held two queen mattresses. Unfortunately, they were air mattresses which were extremely loud and squeaky anytime someone barely moved. We left a recommendation that they get regular mattresses, so I would check to see if they made the change before booking.”
