This drive-up site is incredibly equipped - running water, gas grill, charcoal grill, beautifully cleared space, and hiking trails. Highly recommend the hike up Ball Hill - little over an hour round trip with steep climbs towards the top that reward you with gorgeous views. We'll be back!”

It was clean, had running water, mosquito nets were appreciated, the trails were amazing, I can not with the whole, amazing experience. “This was our second time staying at Lava Rock and it was just as amazing as last time. Having a private pond to ourselves was the kids' highlight, as they could dig in the sand, look at the tadpoles, and feed the fish. The kayak was a new favorite and we brought a paddleboard too. We hiked up to Brier Hill (2.6mi out-n-back and 520ft up) this time since we tried Little Ball Mtn last time, and there was a great view of the Belknap Range. Jim keeps the Tentrr in great shape! We will definitely come back again.”
