Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“It's late August 2021 and I just finished my second trip to John's farm; last time was in mid June. The site itself is fantastic: all the usual Tentrr setup, plus the unique attributes of John's farm. He has an outhouse instead of the Tentrr loo, and a shower in the nearby office. Firewood is right next to the tent for purchase. He provides a big container of drinkable water which he'll replenish, charcoal, lighter fluid, tiki torches with citronella-infused fuel, two additional Adirondack chairs, a small and a large grill, and the mattresses are memory foam (heaven). The site is a separate clearing on his property, so you have a big open area to yourself surrounded by trees, then it's a short walk to visit with the cows, horses, pigs, and chickens if you want. One of his dogs might come by to say hi, but isn't intrusive at all; he visited the first visit, but not this time. Various difficulties and distances of hikes are about 20-30 minutes drive in different directions. John has some hike suggestions prepared for you, and he'll also tell you if something of interest is going on in the area, like the county fair. He's also very responsive by text for anything you need. If you're driving from NYC and use Google maps, keep going a tiny bit longer down the road of his address to turn in at the farm's sign, rather than turning up the gravel path the map tells you to. One friend thinks his three-year-old daughter will have a blast there next time, with the big open grassy area to run around in, and the animals to visit”
“John was an amazing host. He was very helpful and communicative at all times. The Tentrr location was BEAUTIFUL, I definitely recommend going in the fall for the leaves if you can. It's a secluded spot but also has access to any amenities and activities you would want close by (ex. grocery stores, restaurants, wineries, hiking). When you're on the site you are free to walk around, interact with the farm animals and we even got a visit at our tent from John's adorable dog. I would definitely rent here again!”
“We stayed here as a one night stop on our way home from Maine to Pennsylvania. It was a serene, delightful little stop surrounded by gorgeous farms and lovely views. The bed was super comfortable and spacious. Everything we needed to cook a meal and have a nice fire was provided. John was a great host; we enjoyed chatting with him about vacations and local parks.”
“John was the perfect host. He met us at checking and showed us the way to the fantastic secluded spot on his 100 acre farm where the tent was set up! We brought some of our own camping gear but had to use very little of it since everything we could need was provided. We never left the property since there were trails right off the site as well as farm animals to stop by and visit. We even bought some steaks and hotdogs from John to grill for dinner that were delicious! Definitely great experience and we will be back!”
“We had an amazing time staying at this site, with our host John. John was incredibly kind and helpful, we had all the thing we needed for a peaceful night under the stars. We were really able to unplug and relax.
The tent was warm and comfortable and the location was fantastic. Don’t forget to purchase some farm fresh eggs from John for breakfast!”

“I’m sad we were just passing through. Definitely worth a long weekend stay. The farm was sweet and the land perfect.
There is an out house!! And a propane heater for those cold nights.
Definitely worth the stay and will hope to be back.”
