“We had a nice stay at the tent on two coves farm. It helped us to slow down and take some time to watch the sunset, sit by the fire, and sleep to the sounds of the owls. In the morning, we took our time with some coffee and lovely ocean breezes. The tent is very basic and could use a bit of sprucing up inside. There was a string of lights inside but no batteries for them, the bed frame is squeeky as others point out, and a few special touches could make the tent and kitchen area a bit nicer to use and hang out in. But the location is very nice and relaxing and was close to some beaches and kayaking we wanted to explore. The host was very flexibile for our arrival and departure as well. We luckily had excellent weather. Overall a nice one night stay.”
“Two Coves Farm is lovely, we fell in love with the goats and the chickens and the dogs, our hosts were very nice and helpful and had a lovely store where they sold their farm produce.
We had accidentally singed the chimney flap of the tent when making a fire at night and our hosts were gracious and kind.
One thing I will note is that you must walk pretty far from the parking place to get to the tent and unfortunately my partner has a knee injury so it made it a little hard to getting back and forth.
But all in all this place is worth it if you’re into agricultural tourism And beautiful views with good camping vibes.
The hosts were both great and had wonderful suggestions for me in town, I went to a quirky cafe called dog bar Jim and was able to get some work done over the weekend.
You must bring your own sleeping bags and linens but this place was a great place to have a campfire meal there was a table and a fire pit grill.”
“Widgeon Cove was a lovely place to camp for the weekend, even in some cooler weather with some rain we stayed warm and dry the whole time. The location is peaceful and the view is beautiful, additionally, there are many fun things to see and do in the area! Hosts were friendly and helpful, it was a great experience. I'd recommend bringing rain boots to get to the site, but the walk is definitely worth the seclusion!”
“Great, private campsite! The location is beautiful with an amazing view. The beds are very noisy when you move so this may not be the best for light sleepers. Also, my phone uses T-mobile towers and I had no cell signal, but that may be a perk to some! Overall a great experience and I would stay there again.”
“A beautiful quiet location, perfect for the feeling of isolation but close to all you may want to do on the coast of maine in the summer. Would certainly return.
Thank you to our hosts.”
“This is a beautiful spot and our family had a great time! Our hosts were very responsive whenever we had questions and they helped us with some extra items since we flew in and couldn't bring all our gear, which was much appreciated! The walk from the parking area was long but lovely and we were prepared for it based on the description. We just wore pants and long sleeves to keep the bugs away in the evenings, no bug spray needed. The best part was hearing the owls at night and watching the shooting stars over the cove!”
