“Heads up, bring bug foggers to lessen amount of gnats , and beware of the amount of ticks, taking them off of myself n dogs all day. Long walk to the tent from the car. Besides that view was pretty and great location in Maine near the waterfront.”
Hey there Carla, thanks for the feedback on this, we really appreciate it. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. I've gotten in touch with this host and advised him on updating his listing regarding the parking situation. With this update, I hope it will prevent any future campers from having a less than ideal stay. Again, sorry about the inconvenience this trip, but this review has been very valuable to us.
Cheers!

“Good communication with the owner throughout trip. Small problems with the tent; leakage during rain along with the wood stove ventilation system not being set up prior to arrival. Additionally, air mattresses were leaking air and ended up deflating overnight.”
“…in a field past the softly bleating sheep
…by the shores of a quiet Maine inlet
…watching a heron patiently hunt for its’ meal
…first night was a passing storm…30+ mph winds
…second night crystal clear and filled with the majestic splendor of a star filled night
…we spent two magical nights warmed by the fire in the wood stove
36 degrees outside 78 lovely degrees inside…
pure magic…”
“We had a great stay on the property - be prepared to walk a good distance to the tent from your car but wagon is provided. Awesome views and super quiet & relaxing. Easy communicating with hosts as well!”
“This spot was nice, simple, and rustic. The best part was how quiet it was and to add on was location over viewing the water. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax.”
“This is a beautiful secluded campsite on the coast of Maine. The tent and surrounding site were very comfortable. Bring your binoculars because it’s a great spot for birdwatching.”
