“Came here for a 3 day vacation with my family including 5yo and 8yo kids - everybody loved it. There are many easy to navigate trails within Garth's acreage including one that led to a blackberry path (and we were encouraged by Garth and his wife to fill up!). Garth went above and beyond to make us comfortable, including leading us up to the campsite in the middle of a storm, dropping off firewood, and even surprising us with a watermelon on our arrival! Having a flush toilet and shower available was a huge plus for the adults in our camp. Highly recommend. The two dining benches have tents over them which was helpful for the aforementioned storm as well as for shade. Best part: great view of night sky on top of the hill :)”
“This place rocks! If you you want to escape it all and be in nature with the conveniences of glamping this is the spot. I brought 3 kids and 2 dogs. Everything needed was provided but you still feel completely immersed in nature. The view is idyllic and there are many trails to hike right on the property. The bathroom is a plus! The tent and bedding were clean and comfortable. Love the tented kitchen area stocked with everything you need to cook. Charcoal grill was great too! And Garth is there with whatever you may need.... he even jumped my car! I highly recommend this site to anyone wanting a great escape!”
“We had a fantastic “distacation” getaway at Valley View Serenity. Such an easy, no frills family camping trip! The tent was clean and everything in great condition. My daughter loved the queen bunk beds and in-tent potty for night-time emergencies. Garth keeps his property very well groomed, with great trails to walk and bike, and the view from the tent site is gorgeous. We appreciated the fresh eggs and ice, the covered “kitchen” and dining tables near the fire pit, and the nice bath house with running water and stall shower. Garth was a warm, friendly host, responded to questions quickly and helpfully, and was gracious when we accidentally stole the folding chairs! (We brought them back.)
We wanted to get away but didn’t want to see a lot of other people in these pandemic days. The Unadilla Drive-In on Sunday night was retro-fun and pretty low-key. We spent both days relaxing and swimming at Oquaga Creek State Park, about 30 minutes from the site, and that was awesome, though I expect the weekends could be a bit crowded for comfort. Be sure to go for ice cream and buy corn from one of the farm stands!
We opted for the solar lights package and appreciated the lamps in the tent and usb chargers for our phones. The cell tower is a few miles away and visible at night from the site. We heard some shooting on our second morning, a Tuesday; it was in the distance but not relaxing to hear. I asked Garth about this and he said it was a state police shooting range. They didn’t shoot for long and I was relieved to know the noise was coming from a controlled environment.
We really enjoyed our time here! Garth has created a relaxed and amenitied campsite at a reasonable rate, and really goes the extra mile for his campers. Check out his little nature museum! We were very happy here and hope to come back again!”
“We just spent 2 nights/3 days at Garth's TENTRR and we had a blast! Beautiful views and all the necessary amenities are included. We attended with 2 kids, 2 dogs and we all had fun playing games, hiking and visiting the nearby lake. Garth was very easy to reach and extremely accommodating with requests. He made sure we were comfortable and even bought some games (baseball, football and Frisbee) for the family. Having a nearby bathroom arrangement was a plus! We will definitely be booking and coming again in the near future! This is a perfect option for families starting their camping experience.”

The flush toilet and shower were huge pluses for the adults in our camp. The two dining benches thoughtfully are underneath tents which was great for the aforementioned storm and also for providing some shade from the sun. Best part: the view of the night sky from the campsite :)”
“Garth’s site has everything you need! Garth was waiting to drive us to the site. He stopped by a couple of times to make sure we had all we needed.
The site is clean and well equipped. Solar power makes a difference. So does the bathroom!
The trails are nice and short, perfect for kids. The pond is nice and the kids played in the creek. Also, lots of bunnies.”
“Stay here!! The view is outstanding and the valley is beautiful and well-manicured. The tent site was great and clean, even had an outdoor bathroom set-up. Garth was very kind and could not have been more helpful. He maintains trails are the property that were fun to walk and bike. The fresh eggs were great. We had such a relaxing time, highly highly recommend coming here.”
“Garth was an incredible host and Valley View Serenity was truly a little oasis, especially during these times of being stuck at home because of COVID. The campsite was very clean with plenty of sanitizer. The space was beautiful with a phenomenal view and walking trails. Honestly don't have anything negative to say. It was the perfect weekend away! Don't miss out!”
