Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Jason and Adrienne were fantastic hosts! Jason recommended local attractions before our visit, and though we neglected to bring our own pot for boiling water/heating our food over the fire, Adrienne kindly lent us one. The sheep, chickens, and escape artist ducks were a bonus. And the site is very easy to get to by Metro North + cab for NYC residents without a car. Absolutely recommend.”
“Great place to stay! We got there by metro north then took a cab to the tentrr site (and then to Harvest Moon orchard, also really nice), so this is very doable if you don't have/don't want to rent a car. The farm is beautiful and the hosts were very responsive to our questions. They also let us feed the sheep!”
“Everything was perfect!! (The weather could have been less rainy, but still an awesome stay). Jason was very quick to respond to any questions I had and they provided everything to make it the perfect birthday camping getaway. There are even adorable sheep! We took the Metro North from the city and it was an easy trip. I would definitely recommend this for anyone coming from NYC.
Thank you for the birthday memories :)”
“Our stay at Holmestead was an absolutely incredible experience. When we first arrived the first thing we heard were the sheep bleeting at us happily, and our Campkeepers even left some snacks for us to feed them! To get to the site you walk through a gorgeous field where there were hops growing, and we were provided with a garden cart to bring all of our stuff to the site (super duper helpful! thank you!). The site itself was secluded in the woods, a bit buggy so remember your bug spray, and the ground had quite a few root tangles so wear good shoes, but all in all it was a wonderful stay.”
“Ok so full disclosure here after 7 days straight camping in Maine and due to some severe weather that rolled in I didn’t officially spend the night here.
But I will say that The brief time I was on the property everything looked great and well taken care for. The camp site is tucked away at the back of their hop farm and the welcoming committee which was a herd of goats was a fun surprise.
Jason had everything set up and worked with me to get checked in and shortly after arrival to see if we needed anything.
Aside from the weather I’m sure it would have been great. I would recommend it to anyone should they be in the area and looking for a getaway in the woods without fully “roughing it”
One tip would be some sort of insect repellent. The mosquitos were not terrible but it would have been a welcomed addition while I was there.”
“It was a rainy day so sadly we could not make it but the hosts were amazing. Super responsive and super helpful with answering our questions with much detail. They also helped me locate fly fishing places for our next trip there! and again - we were very impressed by their quick and super helpful responses.”
