“Really cool spot with great amenities for a camp spot! Not quite glamping, not completely “roughing it” either... a nice balance in the middle to experience some nature during the day but still able to come back to the site, relax, and clean up with the solar shower to make the short drive back into downtown Santa Cruz for a nice dinner in the evening.
LOVED having a trail right next door that we could roll out of bed and go for a run on. We were supposed to stay two nights and unfortunately had to cut out a night early due to a spot fire a few miles away that was communicated nicely to us given how stressful it must have been for the camp keeper. We look forward to returning when we have the chance!”
“A lovely tent in the lovely woods. We made a fire, cooked a meal with our own camping stove, and then made a fire again to sip our morning coffee before a daylong hike. It's rugged, definitely bring your own supplies like bedding and food prep, but the space is lovely with birds and amidst the redwoods.”
“This is a great spot! It's conveniently located close to town while still having the camping feel. It's right next to a public biking/hiking trail for easy access. The goats were super friendly!”
“My friends and I had never camped with Tentrr before, and were very excited to ring in the new year with a new experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find a spot with hiking trails next to it, as well as being was 10 minutes from the beach.
One of our main complaints about the site was how freezing we got at night time, despite having the stove on in the tent. It was end of December, granted. However, we brought layers and layers of blankets but all of us had trouble sleeping through the night. The queen bed is an air mattress so that could have contributed to it not holding heat well. One of our friends brought a sleeping bag and seemed to stay a lot warmer. Definitely recommend sleeping bags even if youre bringing blankets for the bed.
Also, We had to bring our own toilet paper and firewood, and light sources. Definitely wish there was more light sources available, it gets dark at night and the lanterns provided were dim.
Overall- we had a lovely time. So much privacy, and sound won’t travel to the campkeepers home. You can be loud without worry. It’s well kept, and the bathroom situation isnt nearly as bad as it seems at first.
We all agreed we would be back!”
“We booked the Artemis "Glamp-Site" for an international fashion brand photoshoot.
The location was Idylic and we could not have been Happier with both the tent site and the care taker of the property.
We met Rod upon arrival, who was so friendly and helpful ! He brought his horses to the campsite and allowed us to use them in our photoshoot. He taught our kid models how to feed and pet the animals, which was above and beyond what we expected.
If you want peace and quiet off the grid, in a location only 4.5 miles away from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, than this is the spot.
I give it 5-stars”
“Our stay at Artemis was just as fun & relaxing as expected. Our host Gwyneth was amazing. She took our girls to meet her horses. The highlight of their trip. All the wild animals that roam through every evening was just a added bonus. Everything was great. She gave us detailed directions on all of the fun activities that surrounds the area. We will definitely be back one day. Thank you.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hike from the site was lovely and the site was really nice. Wild turkeys and deer crossing the site was a nice touch. Property owners were super helpful when we needed a car battery jumpstart - thank you!”
