“My friends and I had such a wonderful getaway from the city! David was very accommodating, he left us tons of firewood and plenty of water. The campsite was very peaceful and the swimming hole down the road was a treat. Great place to unwind and get away from the grind. And the sunsets were beautiful!”
“We had an unbelievable time. It rained and thundered, and we STILL had an unbelievable time. The site was perfect. We were secluded and could enjoy the critters and the sound of the falling rain. Can't wait to go back.”
“We had a very memorable and special weekend with family. The privacy and quiet in this camping spot was the highlight for us. The gorgeous stars, calming view, space to play in, and the refreshing swimming hole only added to the great memories that the adults and kids created. Dave is a very thoughtful and generous host who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Dave went above and beyond to help us with all our requests and needs. This was our favorite spot for our family camping trip so far!”
“Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Lots of private trails to walk on and the waterfall is worth checking out. David and company were very helpful, we never felt like anything was missing. We wished we could have stayed longer!”
“We had an excellent weekend camping at Maple Corner Farm, just what we were looking for, a secluded, quiet, off the grid experience. We didn't live the property and had lots of wandering around the trails in the maple woods and the forest.
Our young kids enjoyed exploring the wonders of nature and camping life, with nice encounters with wildlife such as a wild turkey with chicks, deer, and eagles. The dipping hall is a great refreshment and the waterfall is a true gem! Truly recomended!”
“We had a fantastic stay at this site. Dave is a perfect host and provided everything we could need - water, firewood, trail maps - and told us to reach out if we needed anything else. The site is a short way from the main farm and completely isolated. There are numerous trail to explore; my kids loved the waterfalls, swimming hole, and catching frogs at the vernal pool. There are plenty of close-ish places to buy provision (including a farmers market on weekends), though we didn't leave the site during our stay. On the way out, we stopped at the farm and stocked up on fresh beef, pork, and maple syrup. Highly recommend this site and hope to be back soon.”
“We had a fantastic experience! Very private , beautiful views, definitely take the time to walk to the waterfalls !! Our dogs enjoyed playing in the meadow and our camp keeper David was very accommodating . He left us a very ample supply of water and firewood. If you are a cheese lover it’s so worth the drive (15 min) to go to the Granville General Store, for the cheese. It’s made in Pa by the Amish and cured at the store. And it’s a beautiful drive. Loved our weekend and will definitely return.”
“Privacy, scenery, hundreds of stars in the night sky.
The owners and staff at this farm are awesome and super easy to work with. We were delighted to find a beautifully handwritten note welcoming us with some information about the farm and the nearest stores. (Seriously this note was artistry, it was gorgeous) They also gave us samples of their amazing maple syrup and candies which was a pleasant surprise. Dave is easy to communicate with and is very responsive to messages.
The site is indeed on the edge of a private meadow, nestled just into the woods. The drive down isn't rough but I was glad to be in a truck. Parking is in front of the tent but not crowded. There is some farming equipment near the site but it didn't detract from the experience or scenery. The site has everything: tent, stove, lounge chairs, fire pit, grill for the fire pit with tongs and brush, sturdy table and benches, water, loo, and firewood with kindling and tinder. We spent a long time looking at the stars and enjoying the peace and quiet.
Want to hike or relax in nature? They've got trails (map included), a waterfall, and lots and lots of trees. Want to relax in seclusion without being really "out there"? This is your place.
20 minutes to awesome Chinese at Tung Shing. Locals say Verizon has the best reception in the area - our TMobile service was adequate on the road but non-existent at the site.
This site was exactly what I wanted - a comfortable, private, low pressure camping experience in a safe clean place. We'll be booking this site again for sure.”
