“Very good experience although some improvements to suggest. Upon arrival we were unclear about the checkin instructions as the code to the tent was not provided and the host was unresponsive when prompted. We found two workers who were able to give us the code. We enjoyed the nature and lake, the fire pit, and furniture were also pleasant. The tent deck could have been cleaner, but understandable since it's outdoor. Would recommend nonetheless and would still rebook in the future”
“The location was great! Beautiful view and nice area. Marty was very helpful and nice. Very relaxing and unplugged! Placement of the tent was perfect, great hiking nearby at Shumans point and nice local small town. The only downfall is the highway close by, otherwise would have been perfect.”
“My husband and I have done a lot of camping over the years, from tenting to a camper. My expectations were somewhat high especially due to the cost for 2 nights. When we arrived on Friday, the camp host greeted us and informed us the zipper was broken on one side of our tent so we needed to keep the outside flap closed. Sometimes things happen, so we grinned and carried on. Loved the site and if you only look to the right, it's exactly as the photos looked on the website, but to your left you can see and hear the traffic on 590. Also the bar had a band Friday night that played until 11pm. Not your typical "camping". There was a family fun day on Saturday, so the golf carts were up and running at 6am. We did find out the campground is under new management, so we understand it takes time to make the place your own. Our first suggestion would be to update the bathroom. Again, for the price you're paying, they need to be better. The mattress was super comfortable, and if the zipper wasn't broken, the tent was really durable. Not sure if the cottages across the way are functional, but maybe you could put some glamping sites down by the dam on that side to get away from 590.
We live close enough to come back and see changes in the Spring/summer. We had a lot of people interested when we posted photos and I don't want to discourage them or mislead them. Family fun day was actually really nice and it's a shame you didn't get a larger crowd. We had lunch at the food truck. The people were nice and the food was good. We hope to see the updates and wish you much success.”

“Great way to bring in 35 for my boyfriend! The fishing and R&R was perfect. We also loved Drafts bar and grill next door. Had a good bit of rain but the tent held up great!
All in all it was a wonderful 4 days spent and we hope to get back there again in the fall. Thank you!”
