“Lori and Larry are fantastic hosts! So very accommodating and kind. This site is absolutely amazing. Phenomenal views of the valley and the Adirondacs in the distance. The wood stove kept us warm all night and we heard coyotes, a Barred Owl and Hawk Owl. Very peaceful. You will need a high clearance vehicle to get to the site or your option is to hike in. Lori and Larry offered us use of their vehicle to drive up but my Rav4 made it un just fine. Very generous gesture on their part. Can't wait to return.”
“Lori and Larry went above and beyond Terntrr’s standards to provide a beautiful and well-equipped campsite. All the camp cooking tools, mini-flashlights, dry wood and starter materials, plus s’mores stuff when we arrived really helped us feel comfortable! The spot of the site is enchanting — looking west over mountains. We got to see the fog roll in twice a day, and the sunset was spectacular. We heard barred owls triangulating their positions at night and a rattlesnake bird fussed as us in the morning, and we and saw deer on the drive to the site. My camping-averse husband was well-satisfied too—glamping to please all.”
“Round Mountain Camp exceeded both my boyfriend and & I's expectations in every way. Lori & Larry were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable hosts. The camp site was stocked with plenty of supplies (Lori & Larry also gave us some s'mores stuff & popcorn!) and the location was perfect! We arrived as the sun was setting and the view was vast and absolutely stunning! The grounds were well taken care of and there was a trail/road that after a 20-30 minute walk brings you to the top of the mountain which had a 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains. You'll have to see it to believe it! This was my boyfriend and I's first attempt at "camping" and it was a perfect balance of convenience and work. If you want to get away and forget about everything else this is 100% something you need to experience for yourself!”
“We had a lovely time at the Round Mountain Camp Tentrr. The views were incredible, Lori and Larry were very accommodating, and the site was well stocked and comfortable. We arrived late at night and Larry guided us up to the spot and gave us s'mores materials! The only challenge was getting to the site from the "main" road. We drove along a dirt path that was quite bumpy. It was fine but you certainly need a car that has some rise and it may be quite treacherous if it's been raining. However, campers can probably leave their vehicle at the intersection of the path and hike in the 1/4-1/2 mile, if needed. Thanks for a great stay, Lori and Larry!”
“EXCELLENT! We were so bummed we had to leave. Lori and Larry were accommodating and beyond friendly. The view is unparalleled, a perfect place to wake up after a restful sleep.
If you want to cook over the campfire, make sure you're prepared. Hosts provide grilling tools but no pots or pans.
We're definitely coming back!”
