“Bryan’s camping site was just perfect! It was very private and secluded with gorgeous views. All the amenities provided were as described and we had a blast.
The road is a bit steep up to the site from the pond so we drove back and forth (vehicle had all wheel drive) which took a couple minutes at most. There was a great covered area to hang out in by the pond to escape the sun and a little surprise rain with a picnic table and grill which is where we spent most of the day. The pond itself was very clean with cute newts and tadpoles which were so fun to watch!
We went hiking in the area and there were a few options to choose from which was awesome.
I would absolutely recommend Bryan’s campsite.”
“SWEETNESS! 5 Stars for my righteous host Bryan. The site was lovely, private oasis in a meadow looking out at the mountains and sky. Host upgraded the airbed to a real mattress, so it was immensely comfortable. Loved the chef's addon with spices and supplies. I cooked up a storm. Chilled with the fireflies & a real buck! Total outdoor chill heaven.”
“The site is perched up in a serene, remote meadow with lots of sunlight and space. All provided equipment is in good shape, and Bryan kindly adds a few amenities of his own, including firewood and a propane stove. More shade from the sun during the summer months would be nice, and the grass could be more closely trimmed so you could lay out in it without worrying about ticks, etc.
But the greatest value of the space by far is the natural beauty along the road leading out from Bryan's property: a pristine stream with striking waterfalls that winds through lush, undisturbed forest. If you want a day of natural sightseeing in the catskills within walking distance of your campsite, look no further.”
“This was my first Tentrr experience and it has me already wanting for more! Brian was a great host having all the necessities set up prior to my arrival. It was great to not have to bring firewood for the fire pit and propane for the grill. I opted for the pantry option and glad we did because it came with seasoning, oil, pots, pans, and even cleaning supplies. Note you do need to bring your own plates, cups and utensils. I used eco-friendly disposables. I brought my own paper towels and garbage bags, but Brian already had them supplied. One of the great things about this site was being able to bring my two dogs and walk around. As soon as they got out of the car after a 3 hour drive, they sprinted all across the grass! I was extremely worried about ticks and mosquitoes because I have always been prone to bites and was worried especially for the dogs, however, we did not even have ONE mosquito or tick bite! The nearby area is great to drive around and take in the views. There are many streams and beautiful hills to appreciate. Note this is a no cell service area and the closet town for cell service (or free wifi) is in Margaretville. There is a CVS and a grocery store there to pick up any last minute items, which was great to replenish our beer supply. The night sky was beautiful and the stars incredibly majestic at night. I came to this site specifically for star gazing and it did not disappoint. Another major plus was the REAL queen sized bed/mattress. Just remember to bring your own bed sheets, blanket and pillows! Oh, and extra lanterns, candles, flashlights and lighters for a lit up area at night!”
“One of the best experiences of our life... Moonlight sky, complete privacy, countless monarch butterflies and hundreds of fireflies... You cant ask for a better campsite or a better host.”
“The David Hollow campsite was absolutely beautiful! Pristine, remote location, great views and a ton to do around the area! Absolutely recommend visiting the Pakatakan Farmer's market on Saturday morning and grilling out one evening around the campfire.
Bryan was very communicative and helpful as well! Would love to come back. xo”
“This tentrr spot is amazing and Bryan is a perfect host; charming, polite and extremely knowledgeable. We felt completely secluded and loved the effortless ability to go camping on the fly. This property is beautiful and there are so many places to explore and play. We happened to camp during flash floods that started around 10pm and thankfully were completely dry inside the tent. Bryan stocked the tent with a citronella candle, games, playing cards and even his own rustic cookbook, which was awesome to thumb through. I recommend bringing more candles and flashlights than you think you will need and to take advantage of the amazing addition of oils, vinegars, herbs and spices plus pots and pans that he offers. We had a gourmet dinner in the wilderness! Beautiful, relaxing and so serene. Thank you Bryan! You exemplified hospitality at its finest.”
