“This was our third trip staying at Carrie and Mike’s place. I can’t say enough about what wonderful hosts they are! Communication was great each trip, and Carrie went above and beyond, leaving a little treats for my daughter, meeting us at check in each time, and making sure we were set with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We always get the canoe, fridge, and Blackstone add-ons and it’s worth every penny! One of our favorite things is going out on the canoe, and the addition of the new, three seat canoe really made my daughter happy. Each trip we’ve had a pretty bad storm for one of the nights of our stay, but the canvas tent held up fine and we stayed dry. The privacy of the site was perfect for us, especially our daughter with autism who really appreciates the quiet and getting away from people. Floating in the lake, reading on the dock, campfires and s’mores…what else do you need? (We also appreciate the Tentrr loo tent! ) The road out to the site was 0.7 miles of very bumpy, dirt “road” so be prepared, but it’s worth it when you get there. It’s also a bird lovers paradise - loons, gulls, cormorants, chickadees, woodpeckers and much more! We usually take a day trip into Rockland where there are tons of options for yummy lunch, and cute stores to poke around in. I almost don’t want to leave this review because we’d love nothing more than to keep this place a secret! If you book, bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle or something with good clearance, and you’ll be amazed and the peace and tranquility offered by this little slice of heaven in Maine.”
“Heavenly!! Couldn't have imagined a more perfect destination for me and my 5 friends. 10/10 on privacy and our ability to really sink in with each other after not seeing each other for a long time. Randy and Cynthia went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we might need down to the smallest detail. We cooked one night on site and then went to a local restaurant one night that was such a cool spot as well. The hike that's accessible from the campsite is incredible - one of the best hikes I've done and you can jump in the crystal clear river before turning back the other way from the hike. The waterfall on-site is super fun. Good to know: Ask for an extra blanket or two if it's a cold night for the main bed. Also, there's no cell service at the site, which is a blessing, but good to know.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Falls. The site was gorgeous, with the stream and falls a scant 50 feet away. Randy and Cynthia were the perfect hosts - they greeted us when we arrived and gave us a quick overview of the site and (very generous) amenities. Even on one of the hottest days of the summer, the spot is shady, cool and comfortable. Our dogs enjoyed their freedom, as there are no homes or roads nearby. We are already planning to return in the fall for another relaxing stay.”
“The site is beautiful. Very well maintained and clean. Had everything needed: Firewood, fire starters, water, insect repellants, lanterns...
The grilling, eating, drinking right next to waterfalls was amazing. Told all my friends and will definitely be back.
Thank you Randall and Terry”
“We had a wonderful stay! Randy and family were friendly, thoughtful hosts and easy to reach. The site was comfortable and tidy. Having all the basic amenities made it easy to camp with our 3 year old. The creek and falls are so beautiful and it’s really special to have it to yourself. The sound of the water is a perfect soundtrack for sleeping too!”
“Absolutely amazing place that the pictures definitely don’t portray.
The site is a natural clearing in the middle of the woods (no homes or other tents around) along an untraveled dirt road. The bathroom is very clean and, get this, has absolutely no smell! It’s across from the tent a bit so not right up on you. There is a large patio that Randy built and has covered right off the tent. He has put a garbage can and recycle bin on the patio and says to leave it, he will take care of it for you. At the entrance of the tent are torches you can light at night. He supplied a gas grill, 5 gallons of water, and unlimited firewood at no extra cost. Inside the tent are lights strung up as well as on the tables on both sides of the comfy Queen bed. Surrounding this awesome area is the creek with several waterfalls with a little bit of depth that kids are dogs can enjoy. Bring water shoes! You are only a few steps from this too.
The birds chirping and water cascading down are incredibly peaceful and so worth it to be here. Randy made sure I had everything I needed and all the little things, in case I forgot, he provided too. Salt, pepper, plastic utensils, lighter, paper towels, hand sanitizer, board games, cards, and a friendly welcome upon arrival.
I have no idea how he will make any money on this place because it really is an awesome deal. This was the best experience; you’ll not regret it, I guarantee it!”
“We had an amazing weekend at Paradise Falls. Thanks Randy for being an excellent host and has created a beautiful camping experience for experienced or unexperienced campers alike. The waterfall and the creek are truly amazing and so grateful that you have shared this place with us. We will definitely be coming back:)”
