What a perfect birthday weekend getaway! From the moment we arrived and everything was so perfectly set up, we felt like we had our own little slice of paradise for the weekend. Our friends brought their pup who isn’t socialized with strangers or other dogs and we had more than enough room between us and the neighboring camp. We sat and waded in the river almost all day and waved at the rafters passing by. We built a fire at night, cooked dinner and s’mores, and gazed under the stars. Literal perfection, thank you again Thomas!!!

Stunning views. Everything setup so nicely, clean and welcoming. Definitely bring water shoes, river is rocky, but you don’t want to miss it! Clear water and so much fun! Camp director, Hall, was an incredible host and could not do enough. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant experience! Thomas has done a wonderful job equipping the site and making it a comfortable experience for tenured campers and newbies alike.

Set up was amazing, everything you needed was there and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. Had the dog with us and she loved being right on the river, wish we stayed for more than just one night! Will definitely be back!

The site and set-up were lovely. Being that close to the river, we got to see the lovely morning mist rise from the water and cover the trees and a large variety of birds from catbirds to a couple herons. Our lovely host Thomas has a great set-up with a (real wood!) dining table and chairs, ceramic plates and cups and cutlery along with a charcoal grill along and firepit. It felt luxe almost. To my surprise instead of champing at the bit to go for a hike, my husband wanted to stay put and enjoy the site with a book. Fine with me! He brought his hammock while I passed out on the comfy Adirondack chair(s) provided. Our 2nd day we did an "add-on" 3 hour tubing float down the river. Our host, eyebrows raised, told us, "this is the perfect weekend for tubing". It seemed like a boost and a warning at the same time. It was a perfect Saturday for a whole lotta other people to get into the water too. So what I hoped would be an escape from the city turned into a 3 hour floating frat party. Not the best. Just be warned. I would TOTALLY return to this spot...after Labor Day and/or post-COVID (fingers crossed).
