“This was amazing!! The second we arrived we were already planning our next trip here. I miss it already! The campsite was so gorgeous and everything we could have needed was provided. Thomas was so friendly and accommodating. He had a few tubes waiting at rivers edge for us which we probably used for 75% of our trip. So fun!
Can't recco this spot enough..totally regret not booking 2 nights.”
“Tom is a consummate host who welcomed us to his campsite and was available for any questions, even generously provided us ground coffee when we brought everything but the coffee. I would visit Toms campsite without second guessing. The location was prime for a fun, relaxing family adventure.”
“Really loved it. Had a blast with my thirteen year-old. Lovely view of the river. Comfortable seats. Tent was set up beautifully though the zipper was broken on the tentrr tent. Nicely placed campfire. No mosquitos. Thomas was very nice and helpful. Will be back.”
“We spent a night the in July. It was an excellent and exited experience for the first timer of camping. It was located on the bank of Delaware River, and my 9yo kid and wife spent almost 2 hours swimming. The site was neat and nice, and well equipped. Dishes, torches, etc. The lights helped a lot at night after the campfire and the torches burned out.
Thomas, the camp keeper, was a really nice guy, and he lived right cross the street, only about 300 ft away. It was easy to miss the location sign if you are there for the first time because the entrance road to the location is hidden by the bush and trees, but if you follow the directions provided my Thomas, you'll find it. We love to come back again!”
“River’s Edge Sunrise and Camp Keeper Thomas were amazing! We had everything we needed including purchasing extra firewood. The campsite was completely shaded, and we were able to float on the river in the sun with the tubes that were provided. We purchased the canoe add on, and Thomas drove us up the river, dropped us off, and provided some canoeing instructions. We boated for a couple of hours right back into our campsite. The river was gorgeous. We would definitely return to River’s Edge Sunrise.”
“I spent a night here with my husband and we had a wonderful time. The river was easily accessible and the site itself was charming and lovely. Thomas was a great host - he kept in contact with us and made sure we had everything we needed - cookware, water, fire wood, an air mattress, floating tubes, etc. We wish we could’ve stayed the entire week! Would highly recommend.”
“After several stressful months of lockdown, our family of four + dog, was so relieved when we pulled up to this idyllic riverside spot. We spent a delightful afternoon by the river, the guys lolling in the tubes (the water was low), the dog running along the riverbank, his ears let back. We lounged, read, listened to music, and watching people pass by in canoes decided we'd canoe the next day if the weather held up. We lit the fire, barbecued, started a game of cards, and looked forward to the interesting stories the Tentrr loo and rain shower would surely provide! And then a fireworks show started upriver and our dog went nuts. He has been nervous around fireworks in the past, and this year they are especially unrelenting, but nothing like this. We thought he'd feel safe in the canvas tent as he could hide under the wood platform bed but he would not settle and long story short: he grabbed the corner of the canvas with his teeth and pulled until it ripped up the side. After much what-now dramas around the fire/to the soundtrack of more fireworks, we decided to bail. We were a sad lot returning home to the city at 1am. I contacted Thomas the next morning and offered to cover the expense of repairs as I felt so bad and he was so generous and kind in his understanding that I cried into my morning tea. HE felt bad we didn't have a lovely weekend and said he'd take care of repairs. We will definitely rent this site again -- it really is a great spot by the river, but still private with all the trees and close to all the hiking and activities we will enjoy next time-- but maybe will leave the dog home/in a padded cell!”
