“North Haven is beautiful, and Turner Farm is also so pretty. The only thing that was disappointing is that the listing for the site is not accurate, and it was difficult to get ahold of the camp keeper for info. I emailed the address listed on the site and didn’t get a response for several days, and even then only because I finally forwarded the email to the actual Turner Farm email. There is no shower - apparently the solar shower molded over the winter and was never replaced. This would have been nice to know, as we were there for 4 days and would have been happy to bring our own solar shower. On our last day there, a local in town told us that there are coin operated showers in town - I feel like that would have been good information to share with us when we were told there was no solar shower. There is a grill cover, but it was not usable - rusted and very dirty. Also, make sure you bring a hatchet or your own kindling. By the time we received a response from the camp keeper on this question, we were already on the ferry to the island, and there was nowhere to purchase these. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the campsite is beautiful and private. But the listing needs to be accurate for visitors to be able to plan accordingly.”
“Very unique experience! Loved the camp site and staying on Turner Farm. Make sure you plan for the ferry far in advance using the state of Maine ferry website. We really enjoyed the farm stand for breakfast and loved exploring the island. The Tentrr service did not send us much info in advance and some of it was not correct so you may want to reach out to Turner Farm directly when planning your trip”
“I truly enjoyed my stay at Turner Farm, from the views to the pond and the cute farmers market that followed in the morning. The one thing I would say wasn’t as pristine was the state of the Tentrr when we first arrived. It had used sheets on the bed and a few pillows and blankets rolled in in a messy pile on the top bunk. Although this problem took two minutes to clean up, I could see some guests being turned off by their arrival. Other than that it was an incredible experience I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a remote camping experience with incredible views.”
“This is the most gorgeous spot to spend a weekend. Navigating the car ferry is difficult, but that’s not anyone except the Maine Ferry Service’s problem. Go on a weekend and make sure to stop at the Turner Farm stand for a breakfast sandwich. North Haven is just so gorgeous, you can’t miss out on this!”
“Turner Farm is an amazing place, we had a wonderful view and the yurt was right up our alley. It was private and comfortable, and we really enjoyed it beautiful scenery and the delicious salads and vegetables from the farmstand. I would recommend bringing a blanket as it gets chilly at night along with a flashlight and a lighter and some paper if you want a fire. Liam and Benjamin were wonderful hosts and we would definitely stay there again!”
“Great farm with great views. We enjoyed the little beach on the property. The little store on the property was great to pick up some items and we really liked the breakfast items. All of the staff were super nice, thanks for a great time!”
