“Perfect for two couples on a long weekend!
We spent Labor Day weekend at the Herondale Farm yurt, and we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious, secluded, and modern it turned out to be. There is an outhouse and shower nearby, and within the yurt is a sink, refrigerator, hot plate, and wood stove. There is a large water tank and a hot water heater, for the shower and kitchen sink.
There are 4 twin size mattresses, which put together equals two kings. Each couple brought an inflatable queen mattress, which were put on top of the twins. It was very comfortable. The yurt had plenty of space for all of us.
The yurt has a large, brand new deck with a grill, and a ton of chairs (no need to bring your own). There is a nearby fire pit, where we brought over the 4 Adirondack chairs.
There is a large solar and battery powered electrical system, which powers the fridge, lights, and any of your devices.
The owner was very nice and eager to answer any questions, and provided us with detailed directions to the yurt from his farm’s store. On our way home, we stopped at the store to buy some delicious eggs and meat.
We highly recommend this location and will definitely be staying again!”
