Scenery w/ the river next to the campsite was incredible... floated the river down to the other campsite which has a rope swing into the river. “James and Lynn are excellent hosts. They greeted us when we arrived at the farmhouse house. The farm was beautiful! We saw cows, chicken, and cats.
We stayed at the Honeysuckle Hideaway location right next to the Middle River. It was a very well equipped Tentrr site. Our puppy was even able to run off leash with no problem.
Waking up to the sounds of the river and animal of the farms is a rare experience for us city folks.

“Beautiful, quiet and isolated. Perfect campsite beside the Middle River in Staunton, VA. Everything we needed for a weekend car-camping trip was available. The tent, with a queen size bed and wood-burning stove were icing on the cake after day hikes and evenings of sitting by the fire. We will definitely go back to this lovely spot. Our hosts were thoughtful and kind. It was perfect.”
“This place was incredible! It’s set on a beautiful working farm so you have cow pastures around you and the campsite is right on the river. The water is so clear and beautiful, I have no words to describe it. It’s camping just lightly elevated. There’s a wood stove inside the tent to keep you, a bed inside the tent so that you don’t have to sleep on the floor, a fire pit outside, and all the amenities you could want and need while camping. The family who runs the farm are great people. We can’t wait for our next trip back!”
