Overall we had a nice experience. The host sent us plenty of information ahead of time so all the arrival logistics were easy and the site was set up so we never needed to contact him. The pond is nice and full of frogs which make their presence known. We enjoyed hearing them all day and night, some may not. Since "noise" was in a lot of reviews, our take is that the one downside about the site is that it is up against the access road and you'll hear a car rumble past every hour or two. During the one day we onsite we also heard loud music coming from somewhere in the distance for a while, but probably a one off situation. It was quiet at night, except the frogs. On the flip side there are a lot of rafting and hiking activities within a few miles drive as well as towns, bars, and grocery stores. We did not get AT&T cell service in case that's important or a positive for you.

The campsite had a really nice view with a mini hike nearby as well as the little pond to row a boat (provided) in. It was honestly a really nice spot to stargaze, we were able to see the big dipper as the night came around. It was really quiet for the majority of the time besides the frogs, birds, and the road nearby. The host was amazing as they provided all the information we needed for the trip. My group also went for a short hike at the Shohola Falls. It was worth the stay and the experience!!

This site is excellent and the hosts were very accommodating. The site is a personal oasis tucked away in the woods (privately owned), located in the hills above the very scenic byway along the northern shoreline of the Delaware River. The nearby town (5 min by car) had no traffic lights but all of the camping supplies and creature comforts that one might forget. The highlight of the trip was stargazing, the reflection of the milky way off of the pond made for some incredible pictures. This site highly recommended and I will certainly be returning in near future.

Really nice! Such a big beautiful sky and lovely private swim spot. The only downside was that there were lots of gun shots after dark very nearby -- it was a bit scary.

Really beautiful site! We stayed for two nights, I wish we could have stayed another. Fun hiking the property, make sure to be alert though of larger furry creatures!!! Haha. Max the host was great, and very informative of numerous outdoor activities close by. Will be coming back without a doubt.

This is a great spot. Swimming in the pond is lovely and it is really close to the Delaware River. It was a beautiful location and we loved sitting by the fire. It was closer to the road than I expected and there was clear noise from passing cars and ATVs. We didn't meet Max but he left us a big stack of firewood. I wish it was easier to find out about local sites and options for rainy weather. Phone reception was limited. The toilet situation was less than ideal for a group. The canvas tent was super cosy with the stove going!

This property is more beautiful than the pictures reveal! It's secluded, without being too far from great coffee (Stickett Inn in Barryville), quiet and super relaxing. There was so much to explore and do right on the property, with hiking, row boating, hanging in the pond on tubes and spying on frogs, that we barely left the site all weekend. It's location is also so perfect, between some great little towns and SO close to the Delaware River! The owner was very kind and helpful throughout the weekend, even meeting up with us with to share some great recommendations. We hope to come back soon!!

Amazing stay. The camp keeper Max was away the day we went there but he gave us clear instructions and directions. He also told us Karen would help us if we needed anything and emailed her number to us. Since everything was set when we arrived, so we didn't bother Karen and there is no phone reception anyway. (Good for kids!) The campsite itself is just as beautiful as in the pictures. Rowing the small boat was the most exciting part for us. The reason that I deducted half star is that we could not find the sun shower at the site even we have looked around quite carefully. I am not sure if we missed something but at least the owner could have instructed us the location of the sun shower to make it easy for us, if there is one. So if you want to camp there and you do care about taking a shower after a whole day activities, please ask Max about the outdoor sun shower. Overall, our experience was amazing.
