“Max the camp keeper responded quick with the confirmation and provided good directions through messages. The campsite was beautiful! Everything was clean, the grass was cut, toilet was provided as well. Max left us firewood and a row boat which my girlfriend and I took out on the pond! The pond was actually bigger then expected, there was also tons of frogs and tadpoles to watch on the edges of the pond. We even had a bear sighting across the pond! We watched quietly as the mother black bear and her two cubs hung around to the left of the cliff and then went off into the woods. For food we ate in Port Jervis which is nearby! At night we had a nice fire and looked at the stars, the campsite was lit nicely from the moon. We definitely would like to come back. The only thing is the behind the site there is a road with the occasional cars driving by, so depending on your preference whether or not you mind it. For us we didn't mind the occasional car. We had so much fun, my best Tentrr experience so far!”
“This campsite was great. Plenty of room and privacy, without being too hard to find. The pond was clean and warm. We were a little worried, because it was the middle of the summer, that it would be covered in algae or lily pads, but it was clear like a swimming pool. The owner came up and made sure we had everything we needed, then left us to enjoy the space for the rest of our weekend. The stars were amazing at night. Our dogs loved it, too.
Some things to note for future campers:
The frogs are LOUD at night. If you aren't used to sleeping in nature, maybe bring ear plugs.
No cell service in the area at all
None of these hindered our enjoyment and we would definitely go back again.”
“Incredible Campsite! It was an absolute pleasure to spend the weekend here and I cant reccomend it enough. The quarry pond is so beautiful and adds a level of fun to the campsite that is unparalleled. We brought a bunch of tubes and the owner left a couple of tubes for us and so we all floated in the pond and paddled around on the row boat. We had 7 people very comfortably here and could of had more, there was plenty of space for more tents. Truly the perfect campsite and we will gladly be returning here in the future!”
“Hello all, this was our first Tentrr experience and it was most definitely a memorable one. The weather was conducive to a beautiful pond experience, and the pond did not disappoint. The spot was remote and very quiet. The site itself was clean and tidy and had a stack of firewood ready to go. In the evening we were treated to a unique bear sighting. This was perfectly visible from our porch platform chairs, where we witnessed a momma bear and her two bear cubs on the other side of the pond. My girlfriend who is born and raised in Harlem had never seen a bear and was thrilled among other things. We did have bearspray, but did not need to use it as the bear and cubs continued on their way. In the morning more wildlife added to this awesome experience. This was our first Tentrr, but it will definitely not be our last. We can't wait to get back out.
