Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Loved everything about this secluded camp site. It's good to have some privacy when you are dancing under the stars & around the fire like a bunch of wildlings.
Tip on finding the site: There are two large rocks stacked on top of one another.”
“A beautiful spot and camp set-up. We were concerned about storms but the weather cooperated and it was a beautiful weekend. It was a pretty easy trip from NYC and traffic was not bad even for a holiday weekend and the views along the Delaware river are fantastic. There is some noise from the nearby road, but on the positive side there are services close by to re-stock on water and food, etc. As another reviewer mentioned, the stars at night are spectacular and taking the boat out on the pond was a great way to get some sun!”
“Quarry Pond was our first Tentrr experience and we were absolutely thrilled with it. Four of us traveled from NYC (via NJT to Port Jervis then a 25 min cab) - 2 slept comfortably in the big Tentrr tent and 2 in the 7 person regular camping tent that came with the site.
The camping site is by a pond that is bursting with life - at night the birds are singing and frogs are croaking...it makes for a beautiful escape from city life but if you are a light sleeper consider ear plugs!
Since we came late on Friday we ate at River Runner's Roost - a great local BBQ spot that is walking distance from the site (as long as you're down to walk hills). Saturday started with a 2-3 mile run, there is a lovely (but hilly) loop if you take a left out of the site that goes by local farms in the area. Afterwards we did a canoeing trip via Kittatiny Canoes, also a short walk from the site. That night we ate at the site using the wealth of cooking tools that were already there for us.
I would definitely come back, thanks Tentrr!”
“Quarry Pond Camp is beautiful and Karen was very helpful and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay. You have your own pond to swim in or boat on and the views are spectacular. It was easy to find and not too far from the main road which is a bonus although you could hear a few cars here and there. We loved listening to the frogs while we were sleeping. You can hike around the land and there is firewood for sale at the bottom of the hill so unless you want to canoe on the river, there is no reason to leave! We will definitely be back!”
“Rain or shine (lots of rain, in our case) this campsite has you covered. Most importantly: the site holds up well in the rain. Yes, it's not the quietest, most secluded location, but the quarry rock and pond go far beyond making this spot very special and beautiful. The campsite was stocked with firewood upon arrival, with more available just a 2-minute drive away. Karen was very helpful with suggestions for activities in the area. Such a fun weekend!”
“Quarry Pond Camp was the perfect place for our group.
The property owners and their son were super nice and offered to help us with anything we needed. Also gave us suggestions for hikes on their property. Everything was set up nicely for us upon our arrival.
The only problem we encountered was the heat! I suggest bringing a canopy if the weather is to be hot since there is not much shade cover until later in the day.
Nightfall was beautiful! Stars everywhere, even saw the Milky Way on our first night since it was so clear. Frogs croaking everywhere! Turtles sunning themselves on logs in the pond. Cranes flying over the pond. Just wonderful!
We will be sure to stay at this site in the future.”
“We absolutely loved our stay! It was our first Tentrr experience and we couldn't have been more pleased. The site provided everything needed—and much much more. Major highlights included cooking on the campfire and stargazing at night (this site is in a natural darkness zone, so the stars are incredible). We can't wait to check out some of the other campsites from Tentrr!”
“Beautiful site with a lovely pond. The only negatives were as the previous reviewer noted the fire pit is far from the eating table and also the site is not completely secluded. It is off a residential road (can see street from the back of the tent. As a result you can hear cars driving past. Also we were nervous to off-leash our pup b/c of this.”
