“We had a great stay! We arrived after dark and appreciated the signs and lights along the way to help us find the site. We had a great time fishing and hiking, and loved checking out the winery across the street for the free tasting! (As a bonus, the winery is dog-friendly inside and outside).”
“This is a great location to disconnect and enjoy nature! We arrived when it was dark and John was very responsive in helping us locate the exact tent spot which we really appreciated since it was quite late. (It is right across from winery tours sign so hang a left!). The tent feels very secluded but is actually a very short walk from winery and hiking trails on the farm property. Recommend exploring all this location has to offer!”
“This was the perfect off-the-grid getaway for me and my husband even though it was only 50 miles from home! Camp spot was adorable and secluded. We caught several fish off the floating dock (rent it!) and enjoyed campfires and grilling dinner. We went to the winery for a free tasting and enjoyed a picnic lunch outside with our pups. John, the host, is such a great guy as well. Very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!!”
“This was the 3rd summer we have spent a long Anniversary weekend at SHF. I love this beautiful off the grind campsite. I just relax enjoy God's beautiful creation and spend quality time with my husband of now 40 years- John goes above and beyond to make your stay a great one- thanks for sharing this little piece of paradise with us- definitely be booking again next summer.

“Great camping experience! Had the luxury of meeting John, such a great person and host. This site is near by to restaurants and shopping if needed. But far enough out for seclusion. Lots of fish in the pond! Great stay.”
“John was extremely responsive and super helpful! Super awesome property and very private and secluded campsite, which was great for my girlfriend and I. And unless you use Waze, do not follow GPS instructions, just look for the winery and the entrance to the campsite is directly across from the winery’s entrance. There is a pretty steep, muddy (it was raining this weekend) hike down to the tent, but that is part of the allure and seclusion! Our dog loved swimming in the pond, and the floating dock was a treat that we were not expecting to enjoy as much as we did!
John and Hollie have an amazing property, and it will be interesting to see the future tent sites. It will be tough to beat their first site. We would definitely stay again, and I have already recommended this place to several people.”
