“The host John which the tent is on his 100 acre property was a great host! When we woke up there we were ecstatic to make our coffee and get out on the floating dock and drive it out and fish. The weather was great and the bugs were not really an issue.
He took us on the atv ride and showed us the area along with making me some cocktails which was greatly appreciated. He also brought my wife some free wine for her birthday!
This is primitive camping but we always bring our tub with supplies and come prepared but he does provide a bin with some things which is nice. The location is nice and romantic and secluded just like we were looking for. Just stock up on ice, food, drinks and bait and you’ll be good to go. There is a gas station that has alcohol and bait nearby also about 5 miles.
We will be coming back for sure with our son, thank you!”
“Our family of four (and pup) had a lovely stay at this Tentrr site! It’s beautiful, the hosts are so friendly and easy to communicate with, and we definitely plan to return. Even though we were under a storm warning (we expected bad weather and decided to go anyway), John went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. “John and Hollie’s place is serene and peaceful. They do a great job as TENTRR hosts- you can tell their heart is in making sure folks have an enjoyable time. They made themselves available for any needs, invited me over to the residence to say hi to their sweet pups, offered a map of hiking trails on the property, and John made sure to point out a great spot for watching the sunset. The campsite is equipped with everything you would need to camp- just bring food and a lighter! And be sure to visit the small, family-owned winery on the adjacent property. The owner is such a kind man. I really enjoyed our conversation. Overall, this was a fantastic spot for a weekend campout.”

“We loved our stay at Sleigh Hill farm! The site was even more charming than pictured. John and Hollie installed night lights to illuminate the ground at night and included a solar panel phone charger. We took full advantage of the winery right across the street. Be sure to stop in to visit RD (and try out the white merlot). Communication with the hosts was excellent throughout the trip. Note that the car will not be parked next to your camp site, but a bit up hill. We should have packed less. Overall, we loved our stay and we hope to be back soon”
“It’s in rural VA close to the Rappahanock river. The property is so clearly well managed & loved, it is a pleasure just to see it. The owners are just great folks. The woods and fields (and stocked fishing pond!) are everything you could want.”
