“We stayed at Whispering Pines for an entire week, and it could not have been a more restful and beautiful getaway. Denise met up with us when we arrived and gave us a little tour of the property to show us where the private beach access was and to discuss other details of our stay (including where the fridge was, which was a very nice bonus!).
The site is a short walk down a little trail from where you park your car and is completely private. There is even a cart available, which made hauling supplies to and from the car a breeze. The campsite was expertly-equipped, including endless firewood and even a canopy over the kitchen area, which was a wonderful addition considering it rained a few times during our stay. The layout of the site offered us many areas to kick back and relax amongst the pines. The shower area is very private, and your non-refrigerated food can be strung up with the provided bags and pulley system to protect from critters.
We used the canoe every day as the lake was just so beautiful and serene. From the campsite to the water, we could only hear the sounds of nature; it doesn't get more secluded than this. Denise was a fantastic host and very responsive to any questions or needs we had. We've been recommending this place to all of our friends. It's easily one of our most favorite getaway spots.”
“When you need Adirondack's tranquility and fun, this is absolutely the place. We brought our two nine year dogs with our family of four, and we were very comfortable. We explored the lake using the canoe, caught pickerel, saw beavers, floated for hours, and hiked the trails close by.
The bats come out at dusk and are amazing. The stars are very bright when the sky is clear. The birds are very cool. We saw an owl and heard the loons. Side note...we recommend ear plugs at night as the loons frolicked and made a ruckus at night.
You'll have all the amenities at Whispering Pines. The cart is easy to roll from your car to the site. Denise will help you with anything you need while you stay here. We had a terrific family and dog get away and would definitely re-book.”
“I really don’t think I can explain how wonderful this campsite was. From the extreme privacy, to the incredibly welcoming host, to the stunning views, to the awesome set up, to the Private beach, it exceeded all of our expectations. When we were looking for a campsite this one stood out for sure it’s hard to find a waterfront site with everything we had. The host Denise was incredible she even has a refrigerator in a barn with the most adorable set up inside available to make it easier for cool items. The beach is beautiful, the lake is gorgeous, total privacy, and wonderful amenities. The campsite was stocked with more than enough firewood, chairs, a beautiful dining table set up with a solar shower the Tentrr tent was so cool, I actually brought my own tent as well and pitched it right by the fire which was so wonderful (to not bother my friends I went with because I have a special needs dog who wakes me up a lot). If you love camping this is a must.”

“We loved staying in the Pines on Harrisburg Lake! The site is secluded and very comfortable. The host was very friendly, and accommodating. This is the perfect socially distanced getaway. Note - You should be 100% prepared with everything you need before arriving (because the nearest, well, anything is 45 minutes away!) But, highly recommend this vacation, regardless. Thanks!”
“We give this site and customer service 5 stars because there’s not 6. The entire experience, from booking to planning, to the stay, was easy. Avid campers, we have never tried ‘glamping’ so we weren’t sure what to expect. Denise's assistance for planning was quick, accurate and very helpful. The site is absolutely beautiful and laid out perfectly for us who love a view and appreciate privacy. Site is just a 3-5 minute walk on a beautiful trail from parking. We kayaked, canoed, fished, hiked, explored…it was perfect. Ended every day next to the lake around a fire.”
“Denise and Patrick do a great job of providing welcome extras like firewood, water, and a kayak. Site is quiet and handsome, with great sunsets. Access to the nearby Lodge at Harrisburg Lake is a big plus. We made much use of their pool and dining room for a very reasonable price.”
