Bill and Paula were great! We had an awesome time glamping with our two little ones! The stove kitchen to keep the tent warm was amazing! We had plenty of wood ready to be use thanks to Bill! Paula was very attentive giving us recommendations of where to shop, go or just get whatever we were missing. Can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy their land one more time (this time their east side) and of course swim in the river!! Thank you Bill and Paula!! :)

Paula and Bill are wonderful host! There is absolutely nothing that can be set up better, all perfect. Last year we stayed at East campsite and this year we stayed at West campsite. Both locations are wonderful. If you have little kids that like to run around, West is more safe as grounds are flat. If you plan to spend lots of time in the river, East is better choice. Our family of 4 , enjoyed both East and West location and had great time! Thank you Paula and Bill.

Terrific hosts, beautiful spot. The swimming was pleasant, note that the stream floor is a bit inconsistent so small kiddos be careful. Will go again. Thank you!

Excellent site! Beautiful and woodsy, quiet and clean, isolated but not remote. The hosts went out of their way with upgrades to make the campsite livable, with a wooden outhouse for the latrine, tarps to keep out the rain, and extra cooking supplies and wood for the fire. Highly recommended.

Bill and Paula are great. As novice campers they were helpful in letting us know where everything was and Bill even came up to assist us when we were struggling to build our campfire. Late September we were still able to take a refreshing late afternoon dip in the stream which was so nice. Very comfortable and beautiful campsite and tent set up.

What a fantastic trip. It was my gentle return to camping many years on from my Boy Scout days and my four-and-a-half year old’s first night under canvas. We both had a great time. Paula and Bill were great hosts at this tranquil forest site. Bill lent us a Crawfish trap To use in the nearby river which, after a few amateur errors, we used to catch a solitary specimen. Walking the few minutes down to the river to check the trap each morning and afternoon was wonderful as we spotted squirrels and chipmunks, even some deer and wild turkey, and talked about plants and mushrooms we encountered. We went blackberry and pumpkin picking at a nearby farm one morning. In the evening we used the on-site bbq to cook steaks and shrimp, and baked potatoes in the embers of the campfire. There are well marked trails through the secluded woodland and as it’s private land you won’t see another soul. The canvas tent and double bunk meant for a comfortable and peaceful sleep aside from a few coyote howls! My son wasn’t phased by the simple bathroom facilities and was tickled by the solar shower. All in all the perfect trip, I hope we will be back soon.
