Paula and Bill are extraordinary hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and showed us to the secluded campsite back on their land. The site has EVERYTHING you could possibly need, short of running water and electricity, but if your camping, that’s not what you want anyways. They refilled a 10 gallon container of drinking water for us whenever we needed, and they were always a quick text away (yes, there’s cell service!) for any other needs. They provide a cooler, but make sure to bring your own ice. The swimming hole is a few minutes’ walk downhill from the campsite, and there is plenty room to submerge, swim and float, even when water levels are low like when we visited. They have miles of mowed and wild hiking trails on their property. I spotted a fox, a few deer, a raccoon, and a couple woodpeckers and other interesting birds on their property. This campsite is ideal, and I would definitely visit again.

For my first time doing tentrr, it blew my expectations out of the water. It was Excellent! It was so peaceful. The land is basically all yours to explore with tons of trails. The river is a bit shallow at some points but easy to float, relax and walk down. You hear all the wildlife around you at all times. Bill and Paula were super sweet and helpful! Will definitely be coming back to this site.

My kids and I had a great adventure at Hucklebuck Campsite. We LOVED floating on the little stream in our tubes and walking thru the trails. The little enclosure around the ‘loo‘ was super sweet. I didn’t bring enough blankets so it was pretty cold in the evenings and has to get used to some nice in the tent...but it was a fun bonding experience for us all.

We really enjoyed our stay at this camp, the layout and set up of the campsite was great! The location had a lot of places to hike and a river that was perfect for a dip, the water levels were low but it was still good for cooling down. I got freaked out by mice and some noises at night but thats nature! The hosts were great super friendly and responsive. We would book again.

Down the end of long dirt road. Four wheel drive is a must if you want to park near the site, otherwise you have to park down a hill and walk your gear in and out. Walk down to the river was about 5 minutes. River was lovely, but water a bit low this time of the year. We enjoyed floating and in spots, travelling down the river. Many animals and critters were seen and heard! Owls, foxes, mice, chipmunks, (we think we saw a river otter?!) Coyotes were heard at night. You could near road noise from across the river.......Overall, was good to be far away from it all and connect with nature. Basic cooking stuff provided, but you will need a cutting board, knives, any griddle pan (if cooking for more than a few people), and we brought a propane stove and small gas grill that were used often! We also cooked on the charcoal grill and over the fire a bit, as a grate is provided...Plenty of firewood there to utilize, which was appreciated!

Paula and Bill were amazing hosts! They were very helpful in accommodating our large group. We swam and hung out in the river all day, just a short hike down to it from the site. Tons of space to explore, we didn’t get to see nearly enough! Their property is beautiful. The charcoal grill and outhouse were major bonuses. So were the tarps set up over the picnic area because it never fails to downpour at least once when I go camping! Definitely recommend!
