My family and I had a wonderful time at Bill and Paula's campsite. Paula was very communicative with messages before we arrived. Bill took us to the campsite and showed us everything when we arrived. The property is very beautiful with many hiking trails and the campsite was laid out wonderfully with plenty of space for our party of five adults and two children to stretch out. My wife and kids went to the river to cool off while I picked some wild berries around the campsite. The chow box comes with s'mores which made dessert around the fire easy and fun for the kids :) We will definitely be back to camp again with such a wonderful location and great campkeepers like Bill and Paula! Thanks again!

Our group had a terrific time at Hucklebuck Railway Camp. The hosts, Paula and Bill, were so communicative and helpful, and set us up wonderfully. (The tarp/shelter they had set up over the table was especially appreciated on our one heavily rainy night - we still got to stay up talking and enjoying each others' company while staying dry!) The kids loved getting to go in the river, and eating wild raspberries off of the bushes. Next time we hope to check out the trails and more of the surrounding area, but on this trip we were very content to stay close to camp and enjoy the beauty, sounds and smell of the woods, the campfire, and each other. A peaceful, lovely getaway.

The site was beautiful, clean and secluded. It is very close to a beautiful stream great for taking a dip. It had an awesome campfire and a small grill for cooking. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Thank you!

We had a great trip this past weekend at the Hucklebuck Railway Camp. Completely private, but also still close to both Red Hook and Rhinebeck. Paula and Bill were super helpful and provided everything we needed for a great stay. They have several trails on their property that were great for hiking and trail runs with our dog. The camp is very well-stocked with firewood, grill tools, lantern, pots and pans, and just about everything else you will need. We will be back!

We had such a wonderful time here that we even extended the stay. Paula and Bill were sweet, thoughtful hosts, we really couldn’t have asked for a better first tentrr experience. The camp was perfectly kept, clean, beautiful. It’s very clear they care so much about the place and want to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They had us equipped with plenty of water, a BBQ grill that was totally new, utensils to BBQ with, clean sheets, bug spray, firewood, a map of the land and nearby towns. They offered fishing gear (although we would have no idea what to do with it), apparently lots of trout in the river. The trails around the property near the river were beautiful and wide ranging, we didn’t even get around to all of it. It rained on our last day, the tent didn’t leak at all, we had the wood fire heater on, it was super cozy and comfortable. The car drove comfortably right up to the campsite area. It was secluded enough to feel remote but also a 10-15 minute drive to nearby towns to go exploring in. I would recommend bringing a tube to go down the river if you can a hold of one on route to the camp. The river is a bit rocky so Paula suggested bringing tennis shoes/sandals to swim in. Thank you again!
