We had an amazing time and everything we needed was provided for. It is a steep drive up the hill, but we just walked the last bit with our stuff with no issue. Pond is small, but perfect fun for our boys, 9 and 5. Wonderful time and would return!

The view was absolutely gorgeous. It was peak fall colors. The ride up was even amazing. The property was very well kept and had everything you need. It was warm during the day and got very cold at night so we did use a lot of wood. Tent was clean and very comfortable. Just a few logs in the fireplace warmed up the entire tent. They provided two large containers of water and two sun showers. We did have a little trouble getting to the top but finally made it up. I would recommend that if you are going to have wet weather that you use a four wheel drive truck. We loved the area and would totally return! We highly recommend this site.

Eagle Mountain Eyrie was beautiful and remote! The house owners were welcoming and helpful. We spent an hour just sitting by the lake taking in the panoramic Mountain View’s. There was an incredible hike just a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the house. We had a car with 4WD that was necessary for getting to the camp site. One thing we will be more prepared for next time is how to properly get the wood stove burning in the tent as the nights were very cold (September camping) and the last night the flue was blocked and we got smoked out. The site could use a bit more upkeep, but nothing that would deter us from returning one day!

Nothing could have made the experience here more magical. From the beauty of nature of course.... to the warmth of the fire and our interactions as well... this was the escape we needed and will never forget how much we learned and relaxed and had a blast up on that mountain. You guys couldn’t have possibly been more accommodating, sweet, helpful, and understanding when we needed something as silly as fire assistance and that really made all the difference. Can’t believe how perfect the water scenes and stars were as well ... coming together like utter paradise!!!! Only hope we were as good a group of guests as you were hosts!!!! So much to do... so little time! We must return!!!!!!

This is a really beautiful site that was also a really fun place to spend our son’s 9-year-old birthday! We had a ton of fun in the rented canoe and kayak in the pond. Yes, as other reviews noted, it is on the small side (it’s a pond), but it was the perfect size for us to spend an hour or two and still have time for a hike. Our 2-wheel drive car was able to get close enough to the campsite that we could leave our food and cooler in the car with no issues. The site was well provisioned and the owner was friendly and available. Would recommend and return!

We had a wonderful stay at this site, enjoying the drive, location, views and beautiful lake with its boats. The site is at the top of a hill which really gives you the secluded feel which is great. We did struggle getting up the hill with our 2 wheel drive vehicle, but Nancy the fantastic host helped us up with her 4X4 pick up which was a lifesaver. Having to hike up the hill with all our gear would have been close to impossible. We had a very close encounter with a bear and her cubs who came to camp smelling our food. As we had no vehicle up at the site to put our food in at night and there was no bear box/canister on site so the bear had full access to our food. It certainly added some adventure to the trip and a great wildlife encounter. We would return to the site as the location was beautiful and Nancy the host was extremely welcoming and helpful.

The property is very secluded, great view, and is in good proximity to hiking trails and fun Catskill towns. The campkeeper was kind. But, that is all it has going for it. Do not stay here especially if the forecast shows any chance of rain. Unlike other sites, they did not provide an extra tarp over the tentrr so some rain leaked through, the loo was practically unusable from the rain, and there was no covering for the chairs or picnic table. We stayed in a different tentrr site the night before in the rain and had no issues at all because of how well maintained the site was, unlike this site. Our car, although it does have AWD, could not make the climb to the site because of the rain so we had to trek the 0.25 mile uphill in the rain. It’s understandable that it would be difficult to get to a site with such a nice view, but I was surprised the campkeeper didn’t offer ATV use/help unlike every other site we’ve stayed in. So you’ll really be on your own. We had a better, easier time camping in a traditional site the next day. Certainly a secluded, nice view, but it is in no way worth the money and offers none of the extra assistance and amenities that usually make these sites worthwhile. Looking at the previous reviews it seems that these were once offered, but that they no longer are or that the rain kept that from happening.

Such a beautiful location and great setup! The owner knew it was my 30th birthday and made me a bouquet of wildflowers. She was super attentive with anything we needed.
