This was the first tent camping experience for our family of three with ages 3,6,13. I have not tent camped since my childhood. This experience is exactly what I envisioned! Sue is an amazing hostess and so friendly! She really puts a lot of thought into the needs of campers and anticipates those needs! We will be making this a yearly tradition I am sure! This experience was truly restful and relaxing. Thank you Sue!

This is an absolute gem. The location was perfect and Sue thought of everything. We had water, warm and cold, games, solar lighting for the night time, you name it Sue had it prepared. The trip was the relaxation we needed as a family. We will be returning!

The most beautiful site stocked with everything you could ever need on a camping trip including cookware, fresh drinking water, flashlights, bug nets, game, etc. You truly get all the best parts of camping without the hassle and if you forget to bring anything, the Fords are amazingly helpful and will hook you up. We stayed at the site on a rainy weekend but still had the best time and even had access to hot water and portable heaters in the tent which made the stay super comfortable. The site is immersed in nature and is incredibly beautiful and welcoming. Jim, Sue and Ken were all absolutely phenomenal and we highly recommend this site to everyone. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful site, very well stocked with supplies. I could have packed way less for sure. It was a chilly rainy, weekend so the stove inside the tent would have been a nice inclusion. The camp keepers were friendly and brought us hot water for the sun shower. I definitely would come again. Very beautiful surroundings and a well appointed site.

My 9 friends and I stayed at this campsite for three nights, and absolutely loved it! It was well appointed - from a very comfortable on site tent, with a propane heater, to the grill, and picnic table in the 'camp kitchen.' Sue was an impeccable host - very friendly and kind. Whenever we needed water (hot and tepid), Sue brought it up for us. Which given the 30 degree nights, it was a luxury to have hot water at the ready. Most of us brought tents, and two friends rented the additional tent, with cots. The Black Hole, and Dunkley falls were a short walk down a quiet road, and did not disappoint. The first day, we swam and sunned on the rocks at the Falls. The second, we jumped in the Black Hole, which was quite an experience. It was freezing, but so worth it! We also took a drive down to Lake George, for a 1/2 day of kayaking. We 100% will book this site again. It was booked up most of the summer (after visiting, we understand why), but the first availability we could get, we booked it. It's a very comfortable site for 10. There's a very clean outhouse, a great kitchen with a prep table, basic cooking pots + pans, a screened in picnic table, tree swing and hammock, and of course the big tent, that's full of games, extra blankets, headlamps etc. This is all a testament to how great, and thoughtful a host Sue is. There's a beautiful meadow, which is very private - you don't see Jim + Sue's home, which isn't very far. You have a sense of being in your own wooded site, with a stunning view of an Adirondack ridge. We pitched 4 tents on the site, with ample privacy between each one. We made a fire every night, and cooked on it as well. Nothing like fire grilled chicken and vegetables, and s'mores. There are Adirondack chairs around the fire as well, so if you didn't have chairs you'd be ok. My friends and I 110% recommend this site. We can't wait to return. There's lots to do, from relaxing and taking in the sounds of birds, to enjoying the Black Hole and Falls, or even visiting the nearby small towns and breweries. This is also a superb place if you're not a savvy camper. Sue has provided all the amenities for you to be at home, yet also feel like you're in nature. Thank you for providing a special place for us to escape to. After being in NYC for most of the spring and summer, it was an utter luxury for our group of friends to escape to, we returned home rejuvenated and ready for the autumn. Thanks again Jim + Sue!

What an experience! The Fords are exceptional hosts who think of everything! This was our first time doing anything like this and they made it so enjoyable! The tent was immaculate as well as the outhouse and grounds. The surrounding area, beautiful! We will definitely be back!
