I've traveled all over the world, but who would have known the best display of hospitality was just here in upstate New York. From a seemingly inconspicuous meadow on the property of the Fords, Jim and Sue have created something remarkable. My favorite part of the trip was how the campsite managed to ease all the pains of camping while maintaining the authenticity of the best elements. The most impressive part of the entire trip was every attention to detail that Jim and Sue put into our experience. From the moment when arrived onto the property and Sue personally escorted us to campsite to the moment we were packing to leave, they were two steps ahead of us at all times, with every unforeseen inconvenience being already solved before we even got there. From extra toilet paper, to hand sanitizer in the outhouse, we had the most seamless camping experience we could have imagined. I am recommending the Fords' campsite to all my friends and I hope to visit again sometime soon. Thanks Sue and Jim!

Simply exceeded my expectations! My family was hesitant about any vacation options due to CoVid19 situation and came across this amazing site. We had a group of 6 including my parents and kids. I had a lot of questions since I'm a first camper and i wanted to write this review for other newbies like me. They have a nice outhouse and sun shower which includes toilet paper and disinfecting wipes. I saw hand sanitizers in each tent but I didnt use them since I brought mine. There are solar lights around the tent, inside the large tent, around the path and.....lanterns! I wasnt sure when I was reading review what amenities they have available. The place was nicely equipped with extra blankets, first aid kit, dishwashing soap, sponge, basket, puzzle books and board games. They give you 10 gallon of cold water jug and 5 gallon of warm water jug which can be refilled at the Ford's 1 min away. My opinion about DUNKLEY Falls and Black Holl is it's really for teen or young adults who doesnt mind stiff trail. It was a bit challenging for us to get down on each and there were a lots of rocks not suitable for little kids. My kids actually injured a little the first say. Sue recommended Loon Lake which is 15 min away from the campsite. We didnt get a chance to stop by but looked nice when passing by. Lake George was amazing and only 30 min away. Make sure to reserve a boat ahead of time or you'll need to line up 5-6am in the morning. Hope my review helps and we'll definitely come back!

What a wonderful, beautiful, cozy, well-stocked, and fun treasure this property is! Sue & Jim were so kind and offered more than what we expected with amenities available everywhere, plenty of info on the area, and just a general sense of being taken care of. The glamp tent is super comfy and came in handy when we had a brief rainstorm. The outhouse felt clean and taken care of. The outdoor shower provided the perfect rinse-off after a day spent at Dunkley Falls/Black Hole. The cooking area was perfectly laid out. Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future! Highly recommend going to the Falls and Black Hole. There is a little swimming area at the base of the waterfall that we started with and had a lot of fun. We then trekked our way down to the Black Hole for some cliff jumping! Perfect getaway and amazing site. Thanks again, Sue, Jim & family!

Our stay here went above anything I could have expected. You can tell that Sue and Jim have put so much thought and detail into the camp. There were little touches everywhere. The site was super clean, a short drive to town, and a nice walk to the Falls and Black Hole. The kids loved everything as did we! Thank you so much for such a great stay!

Beautiful site with such thoughtful touches tucked into the woods! My family and I had a great stay. Sue was an amazing host, even bringing my son a cupcake, candle and sweet card when she found out we were celebrating his birthday over the weekend! Site is well-equipped and super clean. Couldn’t recommend it more and we can’t wait to go back.

A sweet haven in the middle of the woods! Plenty of space & privacy. There is a fire pit in front of the Yurt also, a grill with a covered picnic table in the back. Two hammocks for relaxing. The Black Hole is a ten min walk. We brought our own tubes and relaxed in the water. We went kayaking at Wild Waters 30 min drive, SOOOOO FUN. The owners were more then helpful getting us to the location & checked in. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!
