“We had a great time at the site . The views are breathtaking. We where originally booked for a Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately tropical storm blew their on Friday so we decided to stay home Friday and go up in Saturday Lew and Chris allowed us to stay a little longer on Sunday to continue to enjoy the area.”
“Great secluded spot on the top of a hill/mountain. Lewis met us in town and escorted us to the site. Beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, where you can literally feel a part of nature (including the sounds of wildlife off in the distance!) We are avid campers who usually camp more rustic style, but wanted to give this experience a try- and it was well worth it! Location was perfect for all the Catskill region has to offer!”
“This was a beautiful space; It had everything we needed! The space is big and it's all yours! We loved the view and have already recommended this location to friends! We will book again :)”
“Upside: The campsite was beautiful, and everything was prepared for us before we arrived. Check in was flexible, and the directions provided by the Campkeepers were easy to follow. Lewis and Chris were very responsive and helpful and enthusiastic, could not have asked for better hosts!! Pretty good location for exploring the Berkshires.
Downside: If you go in the fall, be sure to bring extra blankets because it was freezing at night and the blankets provided were not enough. I'd also suggest bringing your own toilet paper. There were a ton of bugs and bees, be sure to ask Lewis and Chris for the handheld vacuum. The thermal shower doesn't really work unless it is hot out (another downside of going in the fall).”
“We loved this site! Lewis has equipped the site very well and included many useful items that we didn't think to bring. The town of Hillsdale was very close where we enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Crossroads and also the Martindale Diner on our way out of town. One thing to note: the drive up to the site is steep--if you're not experienced driving up back roads it may be a challenge esp if there's been rain recently but we made it up fine. We walked into town once and the walk back up the road is a challenging hike so before you head down make sure you're comfortable with a level 3/4 hike back up. Our dog had a blast playing fetch along the grassy stretch behind the site and has spent the last day asleep back home. All in all, it's a beautiful spot, quiet, and still close enough to anything you might want from a town. A great re-introduction to camping for this Oregon girl--I'd definitely come back!”
“Great location- feels far away but is easy to get to local amenities. Lewis and Chris has supplied all the essentials and logs. We loved the area and the tent was fun.”
