“Lewis went above and beyond. He set up the extra tent, provided firewood, and left us an extra chair. Least of all, he gave us tons of great recommendations, detailed directions, and information. He was very easy to communicate with. The site is beautiful, especially in the morning! It is nearby a some state parks so there are tons of activities.”
“Great spot! My husband and I recently came here for a quick weekend getaway. We are city kids that do not camp often and this was perfect for us! The Campkeepers are great hosts, and easy to contact. They were so gracious and helpful, even after we booked last minute. The site is great for first timers or those who do not camp often. They provide tons of amenities and the best reception we had all weekend was at our camp spot! Close to town that you could walk (careful, hill is STEEP) but also easy to get to stores, restaurants, hiking, etc. IN particular this site was great as we do not really camp often and were nervous about having the proper supplies. The spot is gorgeous- located in a bird sanctuary, you really feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere! Quiet, remote, secluded, but still safe. Could not recommend this place enough, or the hosts! Would definitely come back again!”
“What an absolute beautiful site. The view from the platform is breathtaking on a fall weekend. The tent was set on top of the hill just far enough away from everything, but at the same time being just close enough to town.
Weather was not on our side this weekend but that’s okay we will be sure to come back again soon!”
“Such a great campsite! Absolutely breathtaking views and a truly lovely and helpful host. Lew gave us some starter logs and some sheets and extra things for the campsite (which was a great perk!). Just as a warning: it gets VERY cold at the top of that mountain. Keep your fire going in the internal fireplace and sleep in a sleeping bag. The plastic of the bed froze for us and made us so cold! It was definitely told to us to bring more blankets but we just didn’t think much about it. Definitely the wrong idea. Our friend brought their bedding and such but found it to be not enough. Cooking outside was very easy to do, camping utensils were not clean so bring your own dishwashing liquid. Enjoy the best views and cutest tent.”
