“This was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Me and my girlfriend went out for her birthday. Everyone is so friendly. the Overlook site feels so secluded and is not far from the lodge where there is a bathroom, coffee, warmth and friendliness. The abandon zoo is one of the coolest sites to explore and it’s very cool that you have freedom to explore it yourself without a guide. It was gorgeous the first day and it rained all day the second but that didn’t stop us from having a great time in the warm tent with the wood burning stove. We will definitely be back again! I recommend this to everyone!!”
“This was our first time camping with tentrr and we absolutely loved it! Was such an upgrade to be on a real mattress! And even with the heavy rain the fact that we stayed dry inside was huge. The site was very private, with a beautiful open night sky. My girls 8 and 10yrs old thought the abandoned zoo was awesome! Ben and Cathy had just opened the long neck inn and we were able to check that out too. They did a wonderful job restoring the space all with keeping some unique features and adding modern features. Really is beautiful and would love to stay there sometime, even with staying in the tent we were allowed full access to the beautiful common area which included a beverage station and kitchen. Bathroom/shower and hot tub access as well! They even have a little camp store set up with anything you may have forgotten and access to a refrigerator which was a nice touch. I met Ben in person and did my initial email correspondence with Cathy and they were both wicked nice. I have been excitedly telling everyone about it and we would totally go back again. Thanks again Ben and Cathy for a great time!”
“We spent Labor Day Weekend on the Overlook Site and had an amazing time! The 6 kids in our party had a blast playing hide and seek in the expansive woods adjacent to the site, and we all appreciated the solitude as compared to a normal campsite. We also found the Inn to be close enough to accommodate our needs as it was only a short walk down the trial. We will definitely plan to return in the future!”

“Great campsite, awesome abandoned zoo! The campsite overlooks a meadow, with a large open grassy space in front of and woods behind the main canvas tent. The zoo/game farm has plenty of fascinating places to explore, including abandoned buildings and cages. The owner is super responsive and helpful.”
