My Boyfriend and I downsized our vehicle and added a dog to our family. While we typically go camping with our own equipment we decided to give Tentrr a chance so we didn't have to haul everything. Since we were not bringing anything we tried to contact the campkeeper the night before and on the day of our trip to make sure everything was ready, but we received no response. When we arrived in Ithaca (4 hour drive), we discovered that none of the promised amenities (firewood, water jugs, running water, sun shower, towels, etc.) were available, and the tent was dirty with dirt on the bed and used water bottles inside. After finally reaching the campkeeper over an hour later, he informed us that he hadn't provided the promised supplies, and the sun shower was broken. He couldn't give us a time when he would deliver them as he was out with his family. With no options left, we contacted Tentrr and explained our situation and that we weren't prepared for full-blown camping, and we paid $170 per night for services that weren't provided. They advised us to take photos and submit an incident report while we searched for a hotel. It was move-in weekend for the local colleges so all the hotels were booked up and we had finally found one available for $350 for one night. At 6:30 pm we still had not seen or heard the campkeeper, and with night quickly approaching we had to decide for our safety, so we drove to the hotel. At 7 pm, the campkeeper finally texted, but we had already secured the hotel. 48 hours later Tentrr responded back that they were only offering us a $20 gift card even though we didn't stay a single night in the tent. When we tried to call again we just kept getting the run around and not able to speak to anyone who could listen and help. We are experienced campers and had we wanted to go camping we would have paid $20 for a campsite and brought our own stuff. Instead, now we are out over $700 for a ruined trip. Avoid this campkeeper and avoid Tentrr at all costs, as they will be of no help whatsoever if an issue arises. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Host was very friendly and a nice person. Two things that bothered us that may not bother others. First is that there was a huge farm dog present at the campsite. We are not dog people and the dog was always around, barked several times during the night waking us up. The second thing were the farm animals near the campsite that were making noise very early (4am) as well as random times during the night. The tent was nice and clean. The site was fairly clean, but could have used some manicuring and landscaping. The area that we travelled through was a mess. We realize it's a farm, but it could be cleaned up better. The firepit and firewood provided was great. We enjoyed sitting around the fire.

This tent was very charming and on a very pretty lot. It was clean, and Mike, the campkeeper, was very easy to communicate with. Plenty of firewood was provided. After some tips from Mike we got the wood burning stove working, though it's still a bit tough to stay warm on very cold nights. Would definitely enjoy coming back during a warmer/dryer season to take better advantage of the amenities (campfire, grilling, etc) and to enjoy the beautiful view from the tent windows.

Mike and Lucy are exceptionally wonderful and considerate hosts, and they have created a truly idyllic retreat on their beautiful farm. The campsite is a super short walk away from STUNNING hiking trails in the neighboring nature preserve. It feels completely secluded, but it's still just a 10 minute drive away from downtown Ithaca. It's the perfect place to gather with friends or enjoy some peaceful alone time. I highly recommend taking Mike up on the Beekeeping Experience – it was definitely a highlight of our trip! This is the perfect amount of "glamping" – you still need to be prepared for staying out in the elements, but you'll be doing so in exceptional comfort :) The bed is fantastic, and I recommend spending the additional $50 for bedding...because sleeping in an actual bed in the great outdoors is a rare treat! Remember to bring a few extra lights with you (it gets pretty dark at night if there's no moon) as well as a lighter or flint for starting a campfire.
