Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Bob is a fantastic host and this site is magical. you're close enough to civilization but feels like a world away. Tucked in next to a beautiful stream and with 100% privacy. We'll plan on visiting again given how much we enjoyed our stay. 10/10”
“Our family of 4 (plus our pup!) had a lovely time at this location. We all enjoyed the beautiful, relaxing, well stocked camp site- there was plenty of water provided and firewood for our needs. The tent, chairs, loo, kitchen table area (great that it was screened!) and sun shower were all in great shape and perfectly accommodating. We were happy to have a couple extra beach chairs for sitting around the fire. We had fun fishing, catching critters, kayaking, using the floats, exploring the river, and walking the property. Our first night we were greeted by a few barred owls that screeched for us and our kids (ages 5 & 9) were delighted to see them staring at us in the trees. We also saw the river resident great blue heron, a couple turtles, and caught golden shiners, pumpkinseeds, crayfish, and frogs.
Bob and Tini were friendly and responsive hosts, and were happy to give us the lay of the land as well as answer our kids many questions on the couple of occasions we bumped into them. Their dog is also friendly and sweet. We bought some of their eggs which they sold us for $3/doz to scramble over the campfire. Bob was able to offer us a ride from parking our truck a couple miles down the river so we could do a nice long float and explore more of the river. We were thankful to have brought one of the kayaks with us on our excursion and wound up attaching the floats to the kayak while one family member paddled us down the river, and it still took us 3 hours to get to the spot where we left the truck. It likely would have taken double that had we just “floated.” There were multiple locations where trees were down across the river or the river was too shallow to float and we had to walk as well, so be prepared for an active traverse more than a leisurely float if you opt to do the floats (it was still worth it as a family memory and what I’m sure will turn into a long time excursion reference for our family).
2 other quick thoughts- the campsite is in a flight path and we were surprised a few times how loud the planes could be out in the otherwise serene environment, and remember that even though the site is pretty “glampy,” you are still sleeping on squeaky air mattresses and we were happy to see our own bed afterward.
We would definitely recommend this site and Bob and Tini were great hosts. This was our first Tentrr experience, and yes it was a perfect getaway in the Covid era, but we also enjoyed it so much we’d love to visit this site again as well as explore other areas. Thanks for a memorable mini vacation!”
“Everything was wonderful and as described. I only wish the water was higher but it was still great and everyone had fun! So easy and great communication!”
“Bob and Tini, our camp keepers, thought of everything when they set up this site! They were both highly communicable (but not intrusive) when we reached out with questions. We brought our 2 dogs, one of which is not dog-friendly. We let Bob know this in advance and he and Tini were great about letting us know when they would be walking their dog, Wilson, in the meadow and they made sure Wilson stayed away from our camp site. The site was extremely clean and well-cared for. There was plenty of fire wood, kindling, and paper to get our fire going. They also provided 2 water containers and a filled shower bag. The Loo setup was perfect... a separate little "tent" on a wooden platform, complete with toilet paper, wipes, and more waste bags. There was also a screen tent that housed the picnic table, which was great for keeping the bugs away from our food at meal times. In general, the mosquitoes were pretty bad but we brought Thermacells and once we started those up, the mosquitoes disappeared. The river access right at the camp site was very convenient and we were able to wade quite a way up the river (make sure you bring water shoes), the dogs loved swimming in the river and fetching their float toys. I would recommend bug spray if you are wading in the river as the deer flies were big and plentiful, they especially loved the dogs. We also enjoyed walking on the various trails through the woods. Bob has marked any poison ivy he has found with yellow flags which I was very grateful for, as I had a very bad experience with it last summer. This was only our second Tentrr experience and it far surpassed that of our first experience which was lacking in several areas. We look forward to going back to Souhegan Serenade again and can't thank Bob and Tini enough for a great weekend!”
“Great camping site! Very private (no one else around), shaded, and right next to river. Bob and Tini are very accommodating and can provide plenty of firewood and water during your stay (a huge benefit).
There is plenty to do with children including the river, walking the property (multiple log bridges), picking raspberries, and generally exploring the property.
If you're new to Tentrr - the tent (and platform) are great - completely waterproof (we tested it during a few torrential thunderstorms) and the size is great - a bunk bed providing plenty of sleeping space for a family of 4. You could also bring another pop up tent for additional people.
The location of this site provides both privacy and convenience (it's a 7 minute drive to convenience stores/shopping in case you need ice or other provisions. You're in the woods and on your own but with access to civilization.
Overall, I highly recommend camping at Souhegan Serenade.”
“My friends and I had the best time! As my first Tentrr experience, I’m totally impressed. Bob is an incredible host. We met when my group arrived so he could show us everything, and he texted us to check in if we needed anything during our stay. The campsite has so much privacy even though it’s on the same property as his house, yet it was reassuring to know someone wasn’t too far in case we needed anything. The location was incredible!! The spot at the river right next to the site was all we really needed: the water was so clean, shallow, and there are some rocks perfect for sitting in the water to cool off for a while. Definitely recommend some sort of water shoe. We also were able to pick from his raspberry patch! I only have good things to say, and plan to visit Souhegan Serenade again in the future! Thank you so much, Bob & Tini!”
“Amzaing location and great hosts! We had so much fun and such a great experience here, and this was out first ever camping trip! My 4 year old enjoyed the nature and was beyond excited about sleeping in the tent. We came prepared with sleeping bags and bug repellents and we paid extra for fire wood and privacy tent. Bob and Tini were amazing hosts, provided us with all necessary information and kept in constant contact. We were so thankful to be able to rent their kayaks and tubes and enjoy the river and the nature. Highly recommend”
