“We had a great time! Beautiful setting. Private. The perfect place to relax. Kids had a great time exploring the river. Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly (and shared a ton of great info to make our time more enjoyable).”
“We just returned from Souhegan Serenade, and had a fantastic time. Bob (and Tini) are incredible hosts -- responsive, thoughtful, friendly. My kids (8 and 5) loved it. The site is wooded with a lovely tree canopy, so mostly in the shade, but with some sun. Bob has cleared a really nice area with wood chips for the site and it feels spacious and open even in the woods. It is also private - you cannot see the house at all from the site, but it's close enough if you need anything. And you can drive right to it. We particularly had fun running the trails on the property, picking rasberries, floating in tubes that Bob provided down the portion of the river that runs with the property, and playing in the portion of the river right by our campsite. It's a perfect spot for families with kids. I also deeply appreciated Bob and Tini's care and thoughtfulness with making sure their dog was leashed due to my children being a bit afraid of dogs. And we got to check out Tini's chickens and the new little chicks. All the poison ivy off the trails was marked, and there was no poison ivy at the campsite. Bob also greeted my kids with little fishing nets and buckets to hunt crawfish, which was super exciting for them! I highly recommend!”
“This is a great site! It’s very private and close to the river. So nice to not worry about sharing facilities and being concerned about Covid 19. Bob, the host, is friendly and knowledgeable. We’ll look forward to returning. A word about the Tentrr chairs- in my opinion they are heavy and uncomfortable. I was happy I brought my own to sit near the campfire - or wherever.”
“We had such a fun trip here. Bob and Tini were such gracious hosts. They were very readily available any time we needed anything but were extremely respectful of our privacy. They delivered the best pristine, top quality firewood you could ask for and refilled us when we needed! We cooked breakfast and dinner over the fire on the grill grate they had and we also brought a pan to cook over the fire in. They had water available for us at the campsite in big water jugs and also had a shower bag. They graciously refilled the jugs for us as we needed more water. The area was so private and had a little trail right there to go down to the river. The canvas tent was great and we had 2 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs. You can drive up to site so we left our clothes and bags in the car instead of in the tent which was also nice to keep bugs out. I brought a camping fan which also had a light for at night which was perfect in the tent for a little circulating air and white noise besides the nighttime critters. Def recommend bringing a camping lamp. A couple solar lights would be nice off the sides of the deck so you can see if they need a potty break at night. There was a fantastic picnic table which was perfect to store our snacks on and they let us use their screened porch over the picnic table, which was perfect to keep bugs off our food while we were eating. The privacy tent for loo was so clean and/ or can also be used as a privacy shower. Their property was beautiful and so well taken care of. There was a really nice walk along the back of the property that had fun little bridges to walk over to get to the rapid section of the river which had a fun little flume for the kids to swim down. My boys fished the whole time and caught a bunch of little trout which we threw back. They were waiting for a keeper- next time maybe. The site was close enough to the stores which was great to refill ice for the coolers every day. We live outside of Boston so this was a perfect getaway to get out of the city for some family fun which wasn’t too far away but still felt like you were really away. We will definitely be visiting this site again! We had so much fun on our camping trip here! Definitely recommend!!!”
“lovely place. well kept campsite, great tent set up, and right on high ground above a pretty river that is great for swimming and canoeing. the host, Bob, is also extremely kind and communicative. a short drive from Boston too!”
“Our family of four (plus two dogs) had such a wonderful time at Souhegan Serenade! The site was easy to find and had everything we needed to set up for a relaxing weekend. The close proximity to the gentle river was fantastic - our daughters enjoyed swimming and looking for wildlife. A beautiful blue heron made a few appearances as did a couple of adorable baby ducklings. Bob kindly offered to assist in bringing me back to the site after dropping our truck down river, so we could kayak from the site down to an easy pull-out spot. It was a calm, beautiful ~90 minute trip and a true highlight of the weekend. I would certainly recommend this site! We loved our first Tentrr experience and look forward to booking more.”
