“The site was exactly what I was looking for, close proximity to elk viewing areas, located at the top of Winslow Hill. Lots of great hiking trails and wild areas are nearby.
There were several amenities that were provided that were in addition to those listed: two porta-jons, and heater for the tent which I did not require or use for the 50 degree nights.
It rained a few times while I was there and the platform tent was dry.
A buddy of mine came an pitched a tent although one was provided with the platform tent that we didn't need.
Firewood is available in town from local sellers. People at the general store were friendly and helpful.
An older couple was camping across the very large grass site. We hung out with them one evening and had a great time. Elk wandered through our site which is a plus. Lots of elk bugling at night which was cool. Coyotes howling as well.
All-in-all, it was exactly what I hoped for.
I hope to go back again in the future.”
