“We had an amazing weekend staying here. Everything we could have possibly needed was already there for us including a grill rack on the firepit, a hammock, firewood, chairs, grilling utensils, garbage bags, water cooler, shower bag, bedding, etc. We stayed there to hike Bankhead National Forest and it was a short 45 minute drive. The creek at the campsite was perfect for our dogs to play in. It's a very quiet area that was perfect for campers/hikers. Rip, the owner's dog, was SO FRIENDLY and we enjoyed his visit along with the super friendly barn cat. Really the only thing you need to pack is a cooler with food/drinks. Since we were hiking, we chose not to do the canoe trip, but we wish we had. It sounded really fun and the river/scenery is beautiful.”
“If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place. Absolutely beautiful views, and the campsite was incredibly comfortable. The host, Terry, was so nice and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the views overlooking the river and the sandbar made for a very refreshing day. Even has canoes available and offers a guided tour. We will definitely be back.”
