“This was our first Tentrr experience. We loved our stay at the Tentrr site in Shady Knolls! It was very private and secluded, and we had such a beautiful view of the mountains from our little porch. We wish we had planned it better and booked another night there. Thanks for making it so comfortable for us!
One thing we would like to mention is that there is no cell phone service in the area, so it's important to connect while you are still in or near Woodstock, before driving up to the site. (We came from a different direction other than Woodstock, so we had a little trouble connecting with our host.) Also have all your information on hand, in case you don't get service in the area.
Also, if you have anything other than an SUV, you will need to park it at the bottom of the road near the camp and walk to the campsite. (Especially if it rains and the road is slick.)

“My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Shady Knolls. This was our first time using Tentrr, and we were completely blown away. The location was incredibly beautiful, and Tim went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. There were so many thoughtful touches.
As a city person looking to get away for a peaceful retreat, the site was perfect. We didn't have to buy a ton of camping supplies to get a secluded nature experience. It was quiet, lovely, and so comfortable, and easy to get to Woodstock in under 10 minutes. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be returning.”
“This site is truly spectacular. Tim and his wife have gone above and beyond to make this campsite a wonderful place to spend a weekend. They have thought of every detail to make the place comfortable, like extra padding on the bed, lots of newspaper to get a fire going, a very cute custom smores kit, extra candles and lighters, and on and on. The views out over the mountain are stunning, and the spot feels incredibly isolated and peaceful. Will most definitely be back.”

“We had an incredible time at Shady Knolls and so enjoyed our first camping experience with our puppy! Tim and his wife are gracious hosts; they greeted us and helped us get our things up the hill when we arrived and even texted me the following morning to see if we needed any help in the rain! We brought way too much stuff than necessary because in addition to a beautiful campsite, Tim provides so many extra things that we really only needed to bring food. We would return in a heartbeat (already planning our next trip here in a few months) and recommend this to anyone looking for a private, memorable getaway experience!”
“Shady Knolls is a lovely and peaceful campsite, very well set up with lots of helpful little extras - and Tim and Kim were very responsive to questions both before the trip and when we met them on site. There are a couple nice short hikes from the site, and you are only a short drive from all that Woodstock and Phoenicia have to offer. We'll certainly be back!”
“This site is gorgeous and well-maintained and Tim is a kind, generous, and thoughtful host. The view is spectacular—in fact, the campfire barely held our attention by comparison. The deck and hammock are perfectly positioned for picturesque relaxation. Cell service went out as we got close, but we were able to text and make phone calls at the actual site. Highly recommended; we'd love to stop back by again!”
