“Our experience with Tentrr was terrific. The campsite was beautiful and well maintained. All of the amenities were perfect and made for an extremely smooth and fun experience. We loved the area that the campsite was located in, quietly nested atop a hill with a beautiful view of the forested mountain. Tim and his wife were incredibly helpful and kind. We left a belonging behind in one of the tents and Tim graciously shipped it back to us the very next day. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a lovely getaway with a wonderful host and beautiful views.”
“We loved our stay at Shady Knolls and Tim was a great host! In spite of very rainy weather we knew that Shady Knolls was a very special place the moment we arrived. The set up was excellent for 2 couples with the main tent and a second tent we requested set up, tons of basic supplies and plenty of fire wood. Tim and his wife drove up most of our supplies when our car couldn't quite handle the last bit of the road to the site after all the rain (SUV with 4 wheel drive would be ideal if you want to drive all the way to the campsite, otherwise you can park along the way and walk the last little bit). Truly the perfect NYC escape!”
“The view is amazing! We had an awesome time. The camp had everything we needed and more. Even though it rained in the early morning of our stay, the tent kept us dry. Tim and his wife did a lovely job in adding little details that made our stay wonderful. Our kids loved the hammock. We highly recommend Shady Knolls for camping with kids.”
“Tim has set this camp site up beautifully and there are lots of little things supplied that are always forgotten, like hand sanitizer, paper towels, extra water etc etc. it was these little extras that made the difference.
The campsite is a short drive to several different hikes that are part of the Devils Trail.
This camp site is fairly remote, very quiet and set in lovely forest with a view of the mountains.
There is no mobile reception which is good.
The driveway is a little tricky but we made it easy with a SUV.

“I cannot day say enough great things about Tim & his beautiful tentrr location, My husband & I went for a weekend in October with the most perfect weather and the view is to die for!!! He has everything we needed on site plus more, the only thing we really needed was food & alcohol, our dog also enjoy the weekend with us, we cannot wait to come back in the summer next time around”
