“What a wonderful stay in nature . Everything provided was of quality . Wood platform , chairs and tent were amazingly crafted . We will certainly be using this company again.”
“We enjoyed our time. Great to relax and disconnect.
Our real main complaint was since we stayed there through some very torrential rains, the wood, which seem to be unseasoned, was very wet and would not catch in our wood-burning stove. This meant we had to run out and buy wood at Stop & Shop, which cost us another $37 just so that we could stay warm.
The camp keeper did not check on us at all, which I kind of expected her to, as I did share that this was my first camping experience and as I mentioned both nights we was there had torrential downpours. But I don’t know that they are expected to do that.
The site itself was good although the tent did leak just a bit which the way it was raining was expected. Just keep your stuff off the floor by the walls as it does pool under the tent flaps on the wood platforms. I did have to kill many bugs in the tent, including under the air mattress when we arrived on site but they seemed harmless and once the original sweep was complete, only one or two more showed up. The air mattress was really not to bad comfort wise but with every move squeaked and creaked. The grill rack for over the fire pit was broken in many places and even after covering it with tin foil it was hard to keep our burgers from sliding through.
The tent itself is amazingly constructed and kept us dry and warm even through the torrential rain and wind. We enjoyed our walk around the farm as we explored on the one afternoon it didn’t rain.
This particular site supplies many extras. Things like an upgraded camp loo as they put it in an outhouse, which was spotless, paper towels, toilet paper, febreeze, cooking utensils, aluminum foil, garbage bags, citronella candles, and a lighter. They also had some kindling to start the fires and an LED lantern on the nightstand.
As a first camping experience, I would recommend this site. Just wish we had better weather and better wood so we didn’t have to incur more of an expense.
The Howe’s”
“The site was beautiful, well-equipped, with helpful extras provided. We were so happy with our campsite that we cancelled our plans to go offsite for hiking and canoeing. Instead, we just soaked up the peaceful vibes. The site has an up-graded outhouse and materials for a fire. Our son was delighted by the drive through the corn fields to reach our campsite. We are already looking for a time to go back!”
“My only criticism and this is for Tentrr not for Meadow Ridge Farm... is why do you provide an uncomfortable blow up mattress on such a beautiful wooden bad frame?
I do understand this may be difficult with COVID but we bring our own sheets anyway... if there was a proper bed mattress that would make all the difference from excellent to AMAZING. It would be possible for each Tentrr side to have a couple of zip around mattress protectors and provide one for each new camping group - given campers bring there own fitted sheets or sleeping bags I think it would be worth considering. The only complaint I have is about the "uncomfortable" air mattress... the rest was perfect!”
