This was our first glamping experience and it was more than what we expected. The place has a lot of amenities with a private waterfalls and two swimming holes. Even with the very cold water, we still enjoyed canoeing and swimming around. We have enough lamps in the camp site and a nice heater and hot shower for the cold night. We even have a movie night using our portable projector before hitting the bed. We enjoyed the fresh vegetable from the farms nearby for our dinner. It is a place worth to come back during summer to enjoy the swimming holes. We highly recommend this place. Thanks to Linda and Bryan .

This was my first camping trip and I'm glad it was at Purling Waters. As other reviewers have said, there are plenty of amenities, more than I could ask for! Linda provides paper towels, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, extra batteries, flashlights, books, games, etc. Linda even checked on us the next morning to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't believe the waterfalls are in her backyard and it's pretty private. We did not see anyone else while we were there splashing around with our dog. The only things I can give you a heads up about are: - There are lots of spiders (it's outdoors), so if you're scared of them, especially while you're sleeping, definitely bring a mosquito net to place on top of the bunk bed. - There are mice or just one crafty mouse (again, the outdoors). We didn't even think of this and although we brought a cooler, we placed our dry goods, including our dog food, in an Ikea bag in the cabin. The next morning, droppings were everywhere. I cleaned up immediately and that night decided to place the dry goods in the trunk of our car. We did and to my surprise, a mouse got in our trunk as well, still chewing on the ziplock bag full of dog food. Pro tip: keep storing food in a cooler. - There was no running water at the time due to an issue with the hose, but Linda was always easy to reach if we needed more water or additional assistance. For my first camp experience, I'm pretty pleased and would highly recommend it. This is better than having to pitch your own tent and having to bring chairs/tables. Also, get the extra firewood! Thanks Linda!

This site was awesome with a ton of amenities! The swimming hole is beautiful with crystal clear water. Be sure to bring water shoes to take a short walk to the waterfall down the creek with a swimming hole under it. Will definitely book this site again! Thanks Linda for an awesome time.

Had a great time here! Lovely and completely stocked with everything. Hosts were caring and respectful - we endured a day of tropical storms and they brought us extra lanterns and checked on the site for safety (asking first by text). The creek is beautiful and completely private for swimming, fishing and exploring. Some road noise but otherwise we highly recommend this camp!

This was one of the best camping sites I've ever stayed at and my friends and I can't wait to go back. The waterfalls and swimming holes are pristine and great for swimming. The site goes above and beyond what most Tentrr sites offer - a big plus is the real mattresses in the tent. It also has plenty of extras like lanterns, utensils, games and books. Our kids (ages 5-7) absolutely loved walking the stream and swimming in the falls. And Linda was a wonderful and very responsive host!

Wow! The listing by itself suggests this will be a one of a kind trip, and the other reviews verify that it will be. Let me add my glowing review to the mix of well-deserved praise. There is so much care and detail in this site. We are state campground tent campers, but Covid had us taking another path this summer as we wanted isolation and our own restrooms. We always bring most of our gear to be safe, and most of what we brought besides our own clothes, food, and cookware stayed in the car. The site is pristine and luxurious. Yes, there are real mattresses! The stream is magical, beautiful, and so refreshing. You will be cared for with kindness and never be able to imagine camping anywhere else again. And get the firewood extra! So easy and worth it!!

I almost don't want the word to get out about this place. It was amazing! Large site. Very clean. Set up is thoughtful. The enclosed cabin is great for storage and food prep. Plus, it keeps food safely enclosed for the evening. There are plenty of small lanterns so you can find your way at night. Bathroom is very clean and set up is intuitive. The replacement toilet bags are great. Be sure to bring good, grippy water shoes. Swimming was wonderful. I had my 8 and 10 year old with me. We walked down for a swim 3 times a day. Trees keep you well shaded. Farmstands nearby had beautiful produce. This site is a treasure!

Can't say enough good things about our stay. Linda and Hugh (Brian and Eileen) are wonderful hosts and the campsite is perfectly nestled in privacy on a cliff over looking the amazing creek. It is very conveniently located as the convenience store is a 2 minute drive, but the campsite is totally secluded so you get the best of both. If you need that total isolation feel you simply head down to the creek and you're alone with nature. Kids had a great time, they made fishing poles and fished, built a Tepee, hiked the falls, swam, did some ax throwing (yes Mom let them) and hammock swinging all without leaving our site. The site has everything you'd need for camping and then some. If you forgot it they will have a a back up for you. It is setup perfectly with the kitchen away from the Sleeping area but accessible by a deck and walkway that extend around a main "Club House" that has all sorts of games and cards and is perfect refuge is case of a deluge of rain (it did rain when we were there but the ample tree cover meant none of it hit our tents). They have 2 fire pits and grilles to cook on over the fire pit and also have a Coleman stove and barbecue grille if you choose to include that in your package. Hugh keeps you staked with all the firewood you could possibly need so all you really need is your provisions and you are all set. We will definitely be back again! oh and I told Brian I'd mention the beds....they have real mattress, not air mattresses. I blame them for missing out on the morning fishing sessions as I was sleeping in.
