“Beautiful location with nice local scenery. The tent is well equipped making bringing your own gear not necessary. The bed is inflatable, so for those not used to one it could make it difficult to rest. Overall an excellent value for the money and we would stay again. Also, the place is equipped with everything you need, so besides some blankets/pillows, there isn’t much else you need to bring.”
“Wonderful, peaceful, and extremely private site. We needed nothing but linens, towels, and food. Campsite was immaculate with many extra touches. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions or needs. We had a contactless check in which the host did an amazing job with pictures, instructions, etc. We took the wood, eggs, and outhouse extras…we recommend all three. Cleanest outhouse I have ever seen with very nice and thoughtful touches.”
“The campsite was everything we could have wanted and more. We woke up to the most beautiful fall leaves and colors, I've never felt so consumed by fall. The tent was fully stocked with everything we could have needed as was the outdoor kitchen. We went in late October so it got pretty chilly at night, but as long as you keep the stove burning in the tent, it will stay super warm, just don't let it go out or you'll double the work for yourself. The location of the campsite itself was awesome for sightseeing during the day but still secluded so we really felt like we had privacy and space to explore on the property. The hosts were super awesome and were there when we needed. Would go back anytime and would recommend to anyone!”
“We love Swinging Bridge Sanctuary! It’s calm and peaceful. Jamie is such a great host and so accommodating! There’s muscling near by and great trails to explore on site. We have been there twice and definitely plan on coming back again!”
“The location was incredible. Quiet, surrounded by tall trees. Amazing to wake up and drink coffee around the fire, and eat s’mores at night. Star gazing was also amazing! Quick trip to hikes, too. My dog loved it. Clean tent, comfortable bed and Jamie was super responsive and sweet, checking on us everyday making sure we had all that we needed. The outhouse was clean and awesome too :). Highly recommend!”
“We had one of the best camping experiences at Swinging Bridge Sanctuary. The campsite is so well cared for and includes amenities (pump sink with soap dispenser, outhouse, etc.) beyond our expectations. The site is both private and easily accessible from the main road (though a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended to get up to the site). The landowner is very responsive and accommodating. Can't wait for a return trip!”
“I can not say enough about how wonderful Swinging Bridge Sanctuary is!! Jamie was super accommodating from the minute we arrived and checked in throughout our stay. The site is very secluded and peaceful. Everything was very clean and well thought out.
There is a reservoir down the road that is perfect for kayaks. It was one of the most peaceful boat outings we have ever experienced!
