Lovely, large acreage of land overlooking a really serene field. Plenty of wildlife and opportunities for bird watching. Very close to Portland and near the town of New Gloucester. I would love to stay here again and recommend it. The host Carl is very knowledgeable of the area and keeps a great campsite, trail, and acreage.

Beautiful locations with complete solitude. The ride from the main property to the tent was a little bumpy sometimes, but my Outback had no issues… I would recommend a 4 wheel drive car especially if it rains, the grass path will turn to mud and the bumps could turn into easy places to get stuck. Absolutely gorgeous views and good location to Portland - about a 25 min drive.

The most beautiful and secluded camping site I’ve ever been to. You start off driving past the hosts beautiful brick home, to a rd basically in his field, cross train tracks and head down to the right till you see the tent. To the left is a wide path that leads to a creek. They are in a drought so don’t expect to much. We purchased two bundles of wood that lasted us two nights. At dusk we saw deer grazing in the distance. The fireflies in the field at night are mesmerizing. The whole field lit up. I’ve never seen anything like it. The bugs are not bad but the ticks are relentless. We only saw dog ticks. I was not a fan of the outdoor toilet but my boyfriend had no problem and loved the views haha. I would definitely visit this site again and the host is such a nice man with wonderful recommendations on things to do and places to go!

Wonderful camp site! Carl was a great host and very helpful. It was exactly as described and very neat. My husband and I stayed in the tentrr tent and we pitched a second tent on the ground for our kids. The location was great. It is 30 min to Portland and a little over an hour to Botanical gardens. We mostly left the campsite during the day. We had a lot of rain so it was pretty soggy but that’s to be expected with camping

We had an incredible experience in this pristine untouched piece of paradise. Carl was a welcoming, engaging, and enigmatic host. The meadow is very private as promised, and the compost toilet and wood burning stove were great additions to the site. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This property is breathtaking and so peaceful— perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsite is set up with everything you need for a trip in the woods, we were blown away by the accommodations— bug spray, lanterns, firewood, toilet paper, and more were all waiting for us! This is one of our most unique and memorable airbnb properties I’ve stayed at. Carl is an amazing host, so friendly and welcoming. Thanks for your hospitality!
