Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“This is a lovely camp with distant western views overlooking a seemingly magical meadow. After sunset, the pasture fills with an endless firefly show. If conditions are right at night, the field will be blanketed with a layer of white mist, turning itself in a nighttime lake without the powerboats.
Carl and Jan are perfect hosts, accessible if you have a question yet completely respect your privacy. They both were full of suggestions for biking, kayaking and hiking as well as where to go for lobster. Their wood is some of the best we ever burned. As it was sunny and hot, Carl set up an awning, which was unexpected. The worst part of summer camping? Those horrid sunrises that heat the tent and force you outside whether or not you want to. The white tent is tucked into the shade until a very civil hour.”
“It's not the tent that makes this place so special. It's the location and the hosts. Carl and Jan are Maine gems - super easy folks who make you feel welcome and at home. The tent is nicely tucked away and the view is just beautiful. If you want to feel like you are on the edge of the earth and there isn't another soul around go here and hide for a night or two. It's romantic and quiet and generally dreamy. Just bring lots of bug juice. ;)”
“We got there later in the evening and only stayed the night and into the afternoon the next day. Although it was quick, it was the perfect spot to rest our bones for the evening and have a stunning/quiet place to wake up to. Can't beat a bathroom with a view either ;) Thank you for your hospitality.”
“A really beautiful site and area pretty close to portland and freeport. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights host was very welcoming provided lots of information. Beds were cozy and warm and there was a pretty river near by would stay again.”
“We absolutely loved this spot! The meadow is huge, no pictures can do it justice. We stayed on site for 5 days and wish we could have stayed longer! When we camp, I like to sit by water while my partner likes to have plenty of space to run and this site was perfect for both of us and our pup. The tent is nestled in the trees, so mornings are cool and shaded. The umbrellas on the table and shade structure are perfect for a relaxing lunch. In the mid-afternoon, the site gets a ton of sun, so it was the perfect time to take our pup on a long, shaded walk along the tracks, but always making it back in time for some of the most beautiful sunsets we've seen.
Carl is a fantastic host, he has a wealth of knowledge about the area ans checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The land is absolutely breathtaking! We would love to return again!”
“Sadly we only had a brief evening spent at this lovely location, but we made the best of it! Carl was super friendly and Left our wood/water down at the site for us. The stars were nice and bright, the tent cozy & the location was a perfect escape into nature. Only suggestion I have is to buy more wood as the ones provided are light wood which burns quick. I would definitely return back here!”
“We had a lovely stay and Carl was very hospitable! We came up from NJ and I wish we had a little more time to enjoy and explore the location/area but maybe we’ll be back! Carl kindly left the wood and water down at the site for us and told us about some of the cool things to check out in the area. Only suggestion I have is to get more wood as it’s light and burns quickly.”
“Beautiful view of some acreage right out the tent door is amazing to wake up to. Carl was very helpful and had some great suggestions for things to do in the area that wouldn’t normally pop up on an internet search! Would highly suggest a visit to their land!!”
