“Camp Clausen is amazing! Beautiful spot nestled in the most picturesque location. The site itself is spectacular from the views to the thoughtful details made by host, Yvonne. We love how we felt connected to nature and also had modern conveniences to our disposal. Yvonne prepared the environment for our arrival so beautifully and we felt truly welcomed. The bed is super comfortable and the rest of the indoor space is clean and cozy. The fire pit and seating areas were clean, neat, and well equipped for our needs. Sharon Springs had so many sweet attractions and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding land. We will definitely be back! Such a gem of a place!”

“We stayed a Camp Clausen for a couple of nights early September. We had an absolute blast! The accommodation is amazing, the views are amazing, the village is super cute and friendly and the Yvonne is the best host anyone could ask for! The farm has a rich history, which Yvonne was very happy to share with us, which made our trip even more special. The tent itself is super comfortable, with a proper bed and very nice linen and plenty of blankets (should you need them!). There is a woodstove for the colder nights too. Upon arrival, we found a little welcome card with information about places in the village, as well as bottle of wine - a lovely touch too! “BEAUTIFUL site, gracious host. If your goal for your trip is to be lazy and relax all day in a gorgeous spot and to make your friends jealous through your social media posts, this is the site for you. However, we are active and love to explore our surroundings and this is not the place for that. Sharon Springs is small and not open during the week and we also couldn’t really walk/hike the property. We spent both days close to Cooperstown which is about 35 minutes away. It wasn’t ideal for us. Also, coming from a place that takes the pandemic super seriously, we were shocked at the amount of people in the towns and at restaurants who weren’t wearing masks or taking necessary health precautions. Again, this negative review has absolutely nothing to do with the site and host- we just couldn’t fully enjoy ourselves because we were going for something a little different.”
