The site was beautiful and had a magnificent view. The grounds of the Clausen estate really added to the atmosphere of the place. We heard coyotes howling in the distance on both nights of our stay, which we loved. There was quite a lot of rain on our second night, but we remained dry and cozy in our tent. Our hosts were easy to get in touch with and even left us a bottle of wine and a delicious orange olive oil cake! Sharon Springs is a lovely little town and it is situated closely to several destinations that are within 30 minutes or so drive. We’d definitely come back!

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked our Tentrr stay, though we can now say that our experience was beyond wonderful. The property itself is gorgeous. The front of the canvas tent opens to a vast view of a tree-filled valley, and there are even outdoor cots provided near the fire pit for stargazing. Two adirondack chairs on the tent platform's porch made the perfect spot for morning tea and sunrise watching. Yvonne was a phenomenal host. The tent was very clean and the bed and linens were both comfortable. Tentrr doesn't require hosts to provide linens, so we really appreciated Yvonne having the bed made for us upon arrival. She even had an adorable little snack spread and an accompanying bottle of wine to welcome us for our stay. We stayed on a particularly cold weekend, and the wood burning stove kept the tent comfortably warm the entire time. Ample firewood was provided for us by Yvonne. The bathroom situation was as comfortable as an outdoor commode could be - it was very clean, and toilet paper, a lantern, and hand sanitizer were all provided for our convenience. The property is a short drive from Cooperstown as well as the Howe Caverns, both of which we visited during our stay. Overall, this experience is one in which we will always remember fondly.
