“Great campsite.Clean and had everything we needed. Down the road from Bethel Woods. Very convenient to area attractions. Thanks for your hospitality and the birthday surprise.”
“Very nice campsite. Secluded enough from the owners home but close enough that you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of the woods. The pond is pretty clean, I’m very picky so I didn’t swim but the guys did! Lots of bugs so definitely bring bug spray, and lots of SUN. Bring an umbrella to give some shade ☺️”
“My friends and I had an amazing time at this camp site! The view from the tent is breathtaking, especially at night when the moon & stars come out. It was an easy location, close to a lot of activities like horseback riding & antiquing. The food in the area is also amazing, the fresh made vodka drinks at the Dancing Cat & the baked goods from The Bethel Market Cafe were the best. The site was set up beautifully, JoEllen made sure we had everything we needed, she even left me a birthday balloon and sparklers! Definitely plan on spending more weekends away here.”
“It was my wife's birthday weekend, and we've decided to stay with JoEllen + Dennis' beautiful site over the weekend with 2 of our little dogs. The site was beautiful with a view of the pond and all the necessities to camp out there. It gets cold there at night as you can imagine staying outdoor, and there was a small portable heater inside the tent to use at night. However, do bring warm blankets, as you do not want to leave the heater on overnight. Firewoods were also provided to use, and some utensils, pot, and pans were available on site. Plenty to do around the area if you want to venture out. We went to the town of Roscoe for the day and got back late afternoon to start up the fire to cook on top, which it has a grill on it. We had a wonderful stay, and JoEllen and Dennis were super friendly, and we've only met them when we checked-in and checked out. Thank you JoEllen and Dennis for your hospitality!!”
“We enjoyed our stay here. The pond was nice for swimming and it was a very peaceful site. Only downside was that we felt a little like we were camping in a back garden, with the house visible from the site.”
“Really loved this site. Very private and beautiful view of the lake. The owners were gracious and take excellent care of the property. Small note that there is no stove, so if you need one bring it. We cooked over the open fire so it was fine but could imagine others could find it challenging.”
“Had a relaxing time at Pond View with friends this past week and I miss it already! There are a lot of deers wandering in the area, which was a nice surprise. Waking up to the pond every morning was very pleasant but unfortunately, the weather was too cold for us to swim in it. Definitely bring a heavy comforter because the temperature goes down at night. JoEllen and her husband were both very sweet and accommodating. They provided cooking and eating utensils and her husband was kind enough to jump start our car when our battery died. All in all, we had an amazing time here and would love to come back again!”
“We had an amazing weekend at this site! It's exactly as pictured - you can see the owner's house a few hundred yards away from certain vantage points, but it's mostly blocked by trees. We--especially our dog--loved cooling off in the pond. The campsite had a well-stocked kitchen: grill tools, a kettle, place settings, etc. We barely heard the two concerts at the performing arts center, and really only the crowd and an occasional announcement, it was not a bother at all. Highly recommend a weekend here!”
