“This place is very quiet and cozy. A Little stream is right next to the campsite and it is a private site you can enjoy all by yourself! Great place to spend your holiday :)”
“2nd time there in Summer of 2019. Great spot for ease of use & privacy, especially if trying to get friends or family into camping for the first time. Maia is a great host!”
“Maia & MIke are great hosts. This is a really easy to access site and it is so peaceful, including the babbling brook. The perfect get-away! If one of your party is new to camping, this site and how it is set-up is the perfect overnight or two. Feels like you are at a B&B out in a field.”
“Maia and her sister were lovely hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The site is isolated, right next to a small babbling brook making it great for kids and adults alike. They let us explore their land, as well as the nearby woods which was great for our two small kids. The area in the middle of the campground opens up to the sky yet it stayed cool when we were there (90+) as the site is nestled down among the trees. Plenty of wood for the fire nearby. Overall a great experience.”
“My husband and I enjoyed the site so much. Nola was a delight to meet and made sure we had plenty of fire wood, as it was the coldest night we've had in a while. The site is private and easy to access. We will definitely come back!”
“We had an amazing time! The homeowner met us as soon as we got there, and showed us how to get wood and water. She checked on us once to make sure we were all settled in. She allowed us to walk the entire property, and we even found a creek to do a little fishing! It was adventurous and relaxing. A great getaway:)”
“Firstly, Maia was incredibly great to stay with - communicative and friendly. Her property is generously sized and has many little gems for you to explore. The campsite is in a secluded area just a few minutes away from the house, with a large field with a hill next to it. It was just lovely to listen to the gentle stream run while falling asleep. If you have a fairly sized car, especially an SUV, you can pull up right next to the site, but if you have a smaller car, you'll have to leave it up by the house. But again, the walk isn't much!

We had a group of 6 people and 6 dogs, and unfortunately we had to deduct a star for safety reasons. The apple trees are very spikey and in the campsite itself, there are at least two small treelings that are low to the ground and create a hazard for the dogs running around (or even people walking by) - we ended up having a dog get their mouth caught on a tree and brought to the vet for infection. Even in the woods, there are lots of thorns, which is natural and thus, acceptable, but the worst was finding barbed wire scattered.
-
Dogs barked fairly late into the night, which only caused our dogs to try to bark back. Not this property's issue, as this is typical for the Catskills, but keep this in mind if you're a super light sleeper. We can also hear the roads nearby - 160 acres is indeed a lot, but it is a fairly trafficked country road with are a lot of trucks, and it made us nervous to let the dogs get too comfortable.

This stay would have been a 5 star instantly if it weren't for a few safety concerns - most of which aren't a big deal if you're keeping to camp and being careful. Thank you Maia for sharing your land!”
“Maia and Nola were wonderful hosts. There were some complications with the previous campers, but Maia and Nola went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They really went above and beyond. The site is beautiful, isolated but not too far from the road or the house. We also used the sauna on a rainy day and it was, by far, my favorite part of the trip. I 100% recommend this campsite.”
