Maia and Nola were wonderful hosts. There were some complications with the previous campers, but Maia and Nola went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They really went above and beyond. The site is beautiful, isolated but not too far from the road or the house. We also used the sauna on a rainy day and it was, by far, my favorite part of the trip. I 100% recommend this campsite.

The setting is beautiful, the hosts are kind and accommodating-- a great weekend retreat. Our son played in the little stream for hours, and we did some nice walks on their mowed paths and dirt road past woods and flower fields. We ate a few meals at the site and also ate well at Greenane Farms (Meridale) and Brushland Eating House (Bovina). Our son has already asked to go back again, which we look forward to doing.

First of all I have to apologize to Maia for taking so long to write this review. She did a wonderful job hosting me and my family at her beautiful site, and I feel ashamed that it's taken me this long to write. Not only did the campsite and our host meet/exceed our expectations, but she did so under less than ideal circumstances. A group of very disrespectful campers had stayed the night before we arrived and left the site in shambles. Maia had a sense that would be the case, but allowed us to drop our gear off anyway before heading into town (we were WAY early for check-in). We were honestly skeptical of Maia's ability to rehab the poor site by the time we came back, which made the transformation that much more incredible. After receiving her loving attention, the site looked even better than in the pictures and we couldn't have been happier. We went on to have an incredible trip (my wife and our 10 month old daughter found plenty to do) which was buttressed by the fact that Maia was a friendly, caring and gracious hostess. It is clear that she cares deeply about her property, the surrounding area and the well being of the Tentrrs who stay with her. This was our first Tentrr experience and Maia was a wonderful ambassador for the experience and for the area. We highly recommend!

This is a gem of a campsite. Maia and Sailor (her cat) are extremely accommodating and gracious hosts. The campsite is right next to a steam with refreshingly cool water to dip your feet in and the area is pretty secluded and has plenty of daytime shade because it is located in an apple grove that doubles as a scope into the stars at night.

Me and my boyfriend loved this place it was everything we could imagine, what you see on the pictures is ten times better when you get there. Maia and her sister were great camp keepers, we meet Maia first she was standing right outside when we arrived with her coffee cup and big smile on her face, even little kitten Sailor was there to greet us. I never knew camping would be so relaxing until I went to Lovely Apple Grove Retreat, hiking the 160 Acres was beautiful, from the little Chipmunks in the forest to waking up and seeing a beautiful deer near the camp. If you want to see something very beautiful take a hike to the top of Echo Hill and just look around it will make you feel like your in a whole other world. Its was sad when we had to leave but we are planning to do another trip soon. I would recommend going to Lovely Apple Grove Retreat.

Could not be happier with our stay at Apple Grove Retreat. The ~160 acre property was beautiful and Maia and her sister Nola couldn't have been better hosts. My fiance and I forgot a few things but Maia and Nola were very accommodating and were able to provide us with what we needed. We also had a great time hanging out talking to the hosts and meeting their new kitten (next reviewers please provide updates on how the kitty is doing!) The camp site was very private and the sound of the stream that borders the campsite was so relaxing. My puppy would also like to give it two paws up. She loved exploring the tall grass and running wild through all 160 acres. Apple grove retreat is a perfect place to relax and be unplugged for a nice trip. We didn't take advantage of the sauna on the property during our stay but we wish we did. Don't expect much cell service at the site but that is one of the things that makes this place great. We are so glad we got to have this experience at apple grove retreat, couldn't have been better!
